How to fix common windshield wiper problems

Adjust the tension on your blades by manually lifting the wiper blade away from the windshield then letting it snap back onto the windshield.
Check for a bent wiper arm by stopping the blades in the mid-stroke position to see if the wiper arm is parallel to the windshield then replace if necessary.
If the blade is not making full contact with the windshield take a plier and bend the mid-to-edge section of the wiper arm downwards toward the windshield.
Use hot, soapy water and clean both the windshield and wiper blade rubber thoroughly to remove any grease or buildup.

Wipers Skipping After 1st Rain

So, two days ago I washed my car and low and behold, we got our first rain. After 10 min of driving, the wipers were skipping across my windshield and was very, very annoying! Clean windshield and new wipers? I would of expected them to work flawlessly. And just past my 30 day return window. Quite upset. They really didn't do a good job too as the wiper tips did not meet the windshield and did not wipe the water from that area.
The only positive is that they are easy to install, but that was Tesla's doing, not theirs.

Perfect fit for Model 3, but only passenger side worked

I liked the fact the blades purchased on Jan2022 were easy to install in my 2020 Model 3. However, only the passenger side wipes cleanly and completely with swiping in both directions. However, the driver side only cleans and swipes cleanly from right to left and on the returning swing (left to right swipe) it leaves a continuous wide water streak in the center of the windshield since day 1 installed, which became dangerous on rainy days specially at night. I thought giving it a couple of weeks to see if it would “settle” and swipe as the one in the passenger side but it never did. I removed and replaced it back in place several times to assure it was not a misalignment issue, but it never swiped clean on the return swing. Both wipers dispensed the windshield washer liquid well. I had to put back in place the old one until purchasing a new one for the driver’s side. Thus, I gave it half of the stars on the review so that it reflects my experience with the passenger side wiper only. Original windshield is in perfect condition, has never been replaced and it is not damaged nor cracked. The video depicts the issue better than my words (the blueish glare coming from the back of my car in the garage helped to show it in daylight from the driver’s seat).

Cons: 1) the wipers squeak alot to the point of being quite annoying. It's very noisy when it's running. 2) one of the wiper is atleast an inch short than the original factory standard 3) seems to have temporary streaks in areas where only 1 wiper blade cleans.

Next time we'd probably stick with the Tesla factory issued wiper blade model

The "one year wiper" durability test

Bought last year on Jan 7, 2023 and finally got rid of them as of today, March 12, 2024. The initial value of the wipers were very good (at the time I bought these for $39.99) since the OEM wipers (via Tesla app) are $40 CAD PER wiper, not a set, so you can see why people want to try to look for alternatives.

That's it, that's the pro. It didn't last as long as I'd like compared to my 14' Sienna.

The cons start to stack up at the 7-9 month mark if you live in a wet area like the Pacific Northwest, (lower mainland, BC, Bellingham-Seattle WA, you get the gist of the general area) you're likely to use your wipers a lot. What people don't realize is, if you do a lot of highway/interstate driving, a lot of sediment is actually from other people's mist they are kicking up from the road, creating a sandpaper-like effect when you're using your wipers on the 2 to 3 speed. Visibility gets worse, the mist starts to overwhelm the clarity of the wipers, you feel the need to turn your wipers on the 2 speed at the very minimum and the streaks get harder and harder to clear off. And at some point, I started applying Rain-X monthly just so I could get some visibility when driving on the highway.

tl;dr
I don't recommend these, some people can get them to last more than a year, you may be damaging your windshield in the long run and poor visibility once they start to wear out.
If you are a Canadian, go to Canadian Tire and get the "Certified" wipers. It is most likely just a generic in-house brand naming for these wipers and they only cost $10-15 CAD per wiper. Bought two sets for a grand total of $52 after taxes.
