Quality Plug !!! No regrets after install and hard use.

Quality Plug !!! No regrets after install and hard use.
I don't write many reviews but was most impressed with this plug. #1) the plastic is sturdy, no concerns with durability. #2) The handle makes pulling it out of the socket a breeze. #3) the cable retention design allows for various sizes of cable through a unique design. #4) The wire connection allows for excellent contact with the blades. #5) I measured the temperatures of the socket under about 38amps of load and only measured a couple degree rise. I saw some photos of failed sockets with folks charging their Tesla's. That is probably closer to the rated 50A but can't imagine an issue with that if you get good wire insertion and contact. Finally, I saw some comments about how it was difficult to tighten the screws. I attached a picture showing how the blades remove so that you can get good torque on the connections. No regrets, bought two of them for generator connections.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good for use with heavy cable/a little light on build quality
Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2018
I like that it has a handle so that it will be easy to pull out of a receptacle. The build quality is disappointing. I think it will perform alright for my use on a generator where (Hopefully) it won't be pulled in and out of a receptacle a lot like it would on an RV. My concern is that the plug part itself is screwed together, not bolted through like most heavy duty plugs. The clamp for the wire is bolted through to something imbedded in the case, but not with nuts that you could replace if one stripped. The screws that hold the business part of the plug screw into plastic. I was careful not to overtighten, i.e., not tighten them down as firmly as I would in a nut and bolt assembly. I'm using 6/3 wire to build a generator to house cable. I tried using a "50 amp" plug from Lowes. It was bolted together, but was way to small to use with heavy cable. I was going to make this a 3 star rating, but it is better than any alternative I could find. As you can see in the photo, there is plenty of room for heavy cable. The ground wire in a 6/3 is bare so I stripped some casing off a neutral wire and put it around the ground to provide additional safety. Even so, the added insulation does not touch either the neutral or the hot. In the Lowes plug they were both touching hard.
