This is not our first Educational Insights purchase (thanks shelter in place!) and we continue to be pleased with their products! It is well constructed and sturdy, easy to use, and a great design overall. It looks just like a camera and after some working with it is easy for my 4.5 y.o. to use and interact with independently. She is on the lower end of the recommend age and it shows sometimes (I'll list them in the cons) but she still really enjoys it and it gives me some time to do something else and have her be independent. The facts are correct and easy to digest (presented easily for a younger group of kids to connect to- I mean Robert Irwin!). She can hold it and use the buttons appropriately after some practice- it did take a few days to figure that out. It is very sturdy and the tripod is cute and functional so you can use it laying down like on a safari or at a table or just holding it. We took it to (an outdoor) dining experience to keep her busy and it worked through the meal too. The few cons I have found is that it is a little heavy, and our 4.5 year old is on the younger age so the quiz questions are harder for her with answering the questions and pushing the buttons (too many steps for her working memory), but she's working to figure it out, we just don't use that function right now and doesn't detract from the value of the camera itself. Storage (in our smaller apartment) took a little more thinking for us. The tripod is meant to stay attached and while not huge in any sense, it didn't just fit in her toy area. We have also had the tripod fall off and we've had to take off the tripod and reinsert (it doesn't work without the tripod) to make work when we thought the batteries are fresh. We replaced the batteries and haven't had the issue since, so it probably was user error on our part. I would recommend it and she enjoys it!

My 3 yr old really like the pictures and the animal fact. She could travel the world and never leave the couch. This product is hard to see if you have glasses. Also it only works when on the tripod is on which is hard for kids to see is they are sitting on the couch.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent educational toy for independent play!
Reviewed in the United States on November 16, 2020
The wildlife talking camera is an excellent learning toy! My kids (ages 5 and 6) were both able to easily navigate through the buttons to learn all about various animals. I love that it also includes a map as this has helped teach them world geography along with facts about animals. The pictures are high quality, the camera is the right size for them, and the facts and quizzes are interesting g and challenging enough to keep them engaged. This is a great toy for independent play. It can really only be used by one child at a time when it is in fact mode since only one person can see the pictures, but in pretend play mode they can use it together. The camera and tripod are very sturdy! I’m looking forward to checking out more toys from this line like the talking globe and microscope.

This is such a fun little camera, great quality, a sturdy tripod - but pretty light weight! Simple enough to get it going - although It does require a tiny little screw driver to insert the batteries (not included) The images and quizzes really kept my kiddo, engaged. She is 4 years old and was able to navigate it everything on her own. My daughter also loves putting it into imaginative play and taking outside for for some extra fun!

oh and the high resolution images are beautiful!! I love that it actually includes photography by Robert Irwin. So cool!

    ⭐ PACKAGING e DESCRIZIONE ⭐
    Spedizione veloce e confezionamento perfetto.
