These bags are perfect for traveling with my loose leaf teas. I also now use the bags with my herbs and spices. In the photo are the mint leaves I have harvested from my plants. I stuff the bags with leaves and FREEZE them. I now have mint ready for tea, or to drop in my water bottle. Single bags were used for the tea and mint. I have also doubled the bag and stored grated, fresh ginger in the same way.I’m going to experiment with savory herbs and using the stuffed bags (doubled) in the flavoring of soups. They are sturdy, yet thin enough to infuse liquids with a strong flavor. When stuffing a wetter substance like shredded ginger, it did require gentler handling until I doubled the bag.The size makes it easy to handle and the bag holds a generous amount of tea, etc. Be gentle with the pull string on top.I am a composter so when I am finished with the stuffed bag, I pop the string off the top and toss the entire thing in my compost mixture. It breaks down completely.
