The box was in shambles! It’s the original box which his meant to be inside a container, not knocking around in warehouses and transports. It was torn in half, literally, and had holes!
As a result, there was a nut missing, but we were able to replace it.
The adapter was thankfully there because that’s an important part! It could’ve easily fallen out since the box was so badly damaged.
Nothing else was missing, and that’s miraculous considering the condition of the box. Or what was left of it lol
There was evidence that the mic had been set up by a previous customer, there were multiple scratches, but we’re okay with that. Sometimes there are returns. But return departments should look more closely upon receipt, and price accordingly.
In the end we’re glad we ordered it and the price was good. I’m grateful my husband knows about hardware and parts, and had a nut to replace the missing piece.
The boom arm can be used or not depending on your preference. The stand is NOT lightweight. It's heavy duty and the tripod legs can be width adjusted to suit your needs.
Unfortunately, the Amazon drive delivered me a box with two holes in it.
The tightening screw that secures the boom arm onto the stand was protruding. And there was another hole down toward the bottom of the box.
When I opened the box, found the boom arm had been scuffed badly enough in two places so that the paint had been removed.
Because I need this stand for three upcoming gigs, beginning tomorrow, I didn't have time to mess around with the return process.
I've purchased many items from Amazon and never had a delivery issue. I called Customer Service, yelled at the automated system until it put me through to a REAL person and explained the problem.
The rep was very helpful and worked quickly to resolve the issue. TY Amazon rep...wherever you are.
My only complaint is that the stand doesn't come with any clips to hold the mic cable in place. Since the diameter is larger than normal stands, my other ones won't fit. Would be nice if Pyle included 2 or 3 like everyone else.
Please hear me out....I LOVED the first one. It does what it is supposed to do. These stands will not be used on the road, but will be used in my classroom to hold light-weight condenser microphones.
The replacement stand came today (12-29-2020) The box was beat up. It had been opened and retapped. I was worried. I looked it over as I was pulling it from the box....not a scratch on it. Best of all...IT WORKS! Yea!! Happy customer here.
This is a great stand for a great price IF: It primarily stays in one place and you need a longer arm to reach whatever your mic-ing up. It has long legs that can fit around certain objects like a giant pedal board (I often use the HeadRush Prime).
This is a terrible stand IF: You gig more than once a week with it. Everything strips!! And strips fast! Which is really saying something because most stands don't last as long as you want them too. The arm will go limp, the legs will come undone, the part that connects the arm to the bottom have will fall off... etc. It's also bad for anytime you need to set up in a tight spot.
That being said, I like the way it works for one of my set ups so much that I just bought my 3rd one, which is still cheaper than buying one like this from a music store somewhere more legit (You can spend $150.00 on one of these). I plan to modify it myself so that I can get a longer life out of it, and maybe even try to fix one of my older ones.
Recommend: Making sure all the screws and bolts are tight when you get it and keep an eye on them. Also be sure to be extra careful, making sure you always loosen it when adjusting the boom arm. Don't be lazy like me!

It’s sturdy and a good one for when you don’t have a boom operator.
Tip: line up one of the legs with the direction of your extending pole for added balance
5 stars. Would buy again.
