Positives: The Ficmax Gaming Chair came well packaged with all parts included. Assembled the chair by myself and was a little tedious but took only about 25 minutes. The materials, colors, and quality of workmanship are good for the price paid. The chair looks good with my setup.
Negatives: The foot rest is pretty much a waste if you are over 5'9". Being 6 feet tall myself, the foot rest is useless. My main issue is that the gas cylinder, described in the ad as a "level 4 gas cylinder" is defective. The chair is stuck in the highest position and will not adjust. It worked for approximately two weeks and I have tried many times to get the chair to move up or down and it will not budge. I have contacted Ficmax through their Amazon sellers page but no response as yet.
I will update this review upon hearing from Ficmax and let you know of my ongoing experience with this seller and how/if this issue is resolved.
UPDATE: After several emails from the Ficmax team, my issues with the chair have been fully and satisfactorily resolved. The customer service representative, Carson, was very patient and understanding. The process was slowed a bit by my own lack of understanding and a bit of a language barrier.
However, after several personal emails and videos from the Ficmax customer service personnel, I received a new gas cylinder, followed the easy video instructions given in the email, and now have a very great and comfortable functioning gaming chair.
As stated prior, the materials and workmanship of the chair itself is exceptional and very high quality. I believe I just happened to get a bad gas cylinder in my initial order.
After all is said and done, Ficmax and their team of professional service people went above and beyond making sure I was completely satisfied. I believe you can buy from this company with confidence knowing they provide a superior product and will do all they can to take care of their customers.

I spent weeks scouring Amazon looking at reviews and pricing to find the chair that I needed and this fit the task just fine. This is not for gaming - I am CloudOps guy so spent lots of time in my chair doing DevOps stuff and deployment support.
So far most everything others talked about I found true, no surprises.
Pros:
- Comfortable Chair for long periods
- Looks really nice
- Sturdy build
- Easy-PZ to set up - really just look at the image on the box.
Cons:
- No instructions for set-up (is this really a con - do you need directions to set up a chair?)
- The Head/Neck Pillow - Must be made for short folks as it hits me squarely behind the shoulders and so I can't use it and only about 5'9". (I took one picture with it installed so you see how nice it looks the other is how I use the chair w/o the headrest pillow)
- The Lumbar support vibrator is hokey - tried it - it works well but is annoying after about 5 minutes so disconnected it. but I do like the Lumbar support.
After using my chair for the last few weeks I feel the ROI - cost vs value is fair.
So far most everything others talked about I found true, no surprises.

The chair itself is comfortable and is pretty nicely wrapped with the "leather". It has quite a generous amount of padding everywhere (which isn't a bad thing) it's nice for me as a 5' 7" 180ish pound guy, I have a large frame as I'm in construction. The neck pillow is very soft and nice, and the lumbar support pillow is firm and supportive. I don't use the vibration feature.
The cushion on the bottom is Very thick, IMO it's a lbit too long from the back of the chair, but I'm fairly sure that this seat wasn't meant for my height. Bottom line, it's comfortable.
However, at this price point... Nothing is perfect. Honestly, this is something that probably could have been avoided. Two out of all (15ish or so) the screws were stripped. I believe to save time and to make sure they had all the screws they pre-installed them into the chair, this is common. But this also means that it's out of your control if they come stripped. One of the two stripped screws were located at the hande (unusable and won't thread seen in photo) that holds the rubber pad to the arm and one of the 4 screws that hold the base on. The bottom (that screw wasn't too bad, probably better quality than the other). Thankfully the pad is still tight and won't wobble with one screw, but it still needs to be addressed for concern if you plan on buying this. This chair was packaged in a hurry without care.
4/5 becuase the chair is still usable and nice and the flaws don't bother me.
