My 26 year old son moved back in with us to save for up to buy a house next year. He is an avid biker and does both mountain and road riding as often as weather allows him to (his 2 bikes cost as much as my car). I was really worried about him wanting to maintain his riding shape when he was shopping for an indoor bike stand. I thought his upstairs bedroom would end up in my dining room and we would be subjected to the sounds of volcano type vibrations and rumbling (our house is 110 years old). Shocker...haven't heard or felt anything. We were REALLY surprised at the smoothness and never even know when he is riding. He loves it also. He has the workout he loves and gets to skip the "New Years Resolution" line for bikes when he goes to the gym everyday. Win win for everyone...and my poor house.

Well I to have the problem with bluetooth connection. First ride out of the box bluetooth worked great and ride went very well. Bus since that first ride everything shows the Kurt Kinetic trainer sensors are connected but they aren't because no speed, no power, and no resistance control.

This trainer has some issues that are way out of line with it's price. The App that you need to update and adjust the trainer has been pulled from the app stores. You will have to get an old copy, side load it and adjust the trainer in airplane mode... How's that for a $700 trainer from a 30yr old company? Right its BS. The trainer works like a dream once you get it updated and dialed in. I am 185lbs and it moves when I want it to out of the saddle at 400+ watts. I love the way it moves and the stress it takes off my carbon bike gives me some mental peace as well. I have had it drop blue tooth connection a few times. The app has to be shut down or it will fight with the trainer for connection. The 10% slope is crushing for me and absolutely more than I would ever want for long durations. The only serious issue with wheel on trainers is that the torque you can create in low gears on a steep slope will very often give you wheel slip. My power cable stopped working and I can tell you the tech support here is a joke.. email only... and they dont respond. Amazon is assisting with a unit swap thank god. I honestly can not recommend that anyone gamble with this company in thier current state. If the app worked and they paid for phone support then yes its a solid machine and a lot of fun.

Bought this with a front turntable. Really happy cause good road feel with the combo. Great workouts. Very sturdy. Also bought the training tire cause after limited use it chewed up my standard road tire.
Short on instructions. Would have appreciated information on how to program workouts myself. I couldn't find any I like.

Out of the box i couldn’t get the firmware updated and had to contact support. i had to use a special firmware loader to get the latest firmware. The latest version disabled the cadence data, as they’re working on fixing it. no update yet.

i found it highly inaccurate from a speed perspective. Tried calibrating it multiple
times with the kinetic app, and zwift, and no improvement in accuracy. peddling at high speed and zwift registers 1mph.

connectivity is sketchy at times, especially if you switch apps. it looks like an app will take control, but doesn’t give up control on exit, so the unit gets confused. i’ve had to power cycle the unit to fix it.

overall this seems finicky, inconsistent and poorly executed, especially for the money.

if the software improves, i may update the review.

No software update since october 2019. Support told me in december they were going to release the cadence update in january. no update!

wish i hadn’t wasted my money

Ive had this for a few weeks and love it. I don’t particularly care for riding on a trainer. I got this one because of the flexibility of the mount. It’s great! There’s a very realistic feel to riding this. It flexes back and forth and up and down. This probably prevents some of the power output but it makes using it more enjoyable for me.
