About this item

  • This fresh topical lotion offers pets fast and effective relief from skin irritations; yeast problems, hot spots, black skin disease, scaly skin, flea allergies, dermatitis and dry skin conditions including dandruff.
  • Organic whole leaf aloe vera and vitamin E rush healing energy to the deepest layers of the skin, while sulfur, known as the healing mineral, reduces itching and flaking associated with seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff and is both antibacterial and antifungal.
  • While there can be a scent from the ingredient sulfur, there are never any perfumes or artificial ingredients so you don't have to worry about harsh and irritating chemicals on your pet's skin.
  • The lotion works to eliminate the underlying infection or irritation but it's very important that the products stay on the skin to be effective; while it won't harm your pet if licked off, it works much better from the outside rather than the inside; if needed, we recommend covering the affected areas with a tee shirt or sock during treatment.
  • DERMagic Skin Rescue Lotion works on dogs, cats or horses and is made in the USA.

Directions

This freshsmelling topical lotion offers pets fast and effective relief from skin irritations, hot spots, black skin disease, scaly skin, flea allergies, dermatitis, and dry skin conditions. Organic wholeleaf aloe vera gel and vitamin E rush healing energy to the deepest layers of the skin, while sulfur, known as the healing mineral, reduces itching and flaking associated with seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff, is toxic to the scabies mite, and is both antibacterial and antifungal. Rosemary essential oil disinfects and stimulates hair follicles. Sesame oil, a natural antibacterial for common skin pathogens (such as staphylococcus and streptococcus), as well as common skin fungi (including yeast infections), is also a natural antiviral and antiinflammatory agent. For Best Results: Start with a clean dog. Trim long hair with scissors, but do not shave. Apply Skin Rescue Lotion to affected areas, massaging into skin until fully absorbed. Cover pet with Tshirt to protect the skin and reduce licking. Reapply twice daily for the first week. Continue application once daily thereafter, until no longer needed. Do not bathe your pet more than twice per month

My DERMagic Experience
Hello all! First of all before I begin my review, I want whoever is reading this to first and foremost know this is MY experience with these products, and every dog’s body, condition and experience will be different. I just wanted to share how it worked for my pup. If you are struggling with this black skin desease or dry skin condition, I highly first recommend you get your dog tested for the following: a blood panel, urinalysis, thyroid testing and adrenal hormone testing. My vet also took some samples of my dogs dry skin to look under a microscope to see if there were any bacteria. I recommend this in order to rule out any other underlying conditions. Based on the results, the veterinarian will recommend treatment. Make sure you do a lot of research before treating your dog. Fortunately for me, all test results came back good and the vet recommended a mousse (which made my dog’s skin dryer and worse). So I took matters into my own hands and did research. I first used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Lotion every day on the BALD SPOTS of my dog and I used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Grooming Spitz on the rest of the body (make sure you spit the hair open so the spray gets onto the dogs skin). After I finished applying I would put on a jump suit and washable diaper on my dog so the product stayed on and wouldn’t rub off while getting on the bed, couches, floor, etc.I used “KOESON Dog Recovery Suit, Dog Onesie” and the diaper was from PetSmart “Top Paw washable diaper.” I would do it every night and in the mornings remove diaper and jumpsuit.Instead of washing my dog once a month I washed her every two weeks. The day before bath, I would cover the dry areas with coconut oil and put on her jumpsuit and diaper for the night. Use extra virgin, organic, cold-pressed unrefined coconut oil.The next day I would wash her using “TropiClean OxyMed Hypo-Allergenic Oatmeal shampoo” then using “DERMagic organic shampoo bar (Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil),” then I would use the “DERMagic Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil Conditioner.”In time her black skin was slowly disappearing and her bald spots was growing back hair. Once she grew out a lot of hair and it looks great, I would just use the spray twice a week and brush her hair out 1-2 times a week. I will continue to wash her twice a month and will be maintaining her coat in great shape. I noticed this condition started as soon as I neglected brushing her hair weekly and now using spray. What also helped was applying salmon oil every day into her diet. I used Zesty Pawls brand.Consistency and patience is key! I’m on month three now of this hard work and it definitely paid off!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!
Reviewed in the United States on December 14, 2016
My pomeranian has really dry skin and has lost most of her fur. I started off using coconut oil warmed up in a spray bottle and saturated her fur and skin every other day. This helped a lot with the initial damaged skin. It almost looked black but it slowly started peeling away and pink fresh skin was healing. Her fur started growing back where the pink skin was showing through. Although the coconut oil was helping tremendously her skin still felt dry. I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and rescue lotion. I just washed her today and used the products and her skin is baby soft. This is the best her coat has felt in months! I will update when I have more info. It does have a strong essential oil smell to it but I don't mind at all. But so far so good! Worth the buy! I hope this helps anyone with a similar issue. I highly recommend buying a doggie onsie to keep the oil or lotion or whatever on your dogs skin, out of their mouths, and off of your furniture. Goodluck!
