Great thermometer with some improvements over previous models
We've had the same Braun ear thermometer for 13 years and it finally gave out this week when we had 3 kids with strep throat infections. :( having been pretty pleased with our previous thermometer, I turned to Braun for a replacement. I am very pleased with the accuracy, the old one was very touchy about the angle, but this one gives the same reading within a couple of tenths of degrees every time. The old one saved multiple readings in memory, but this one only saves the last one. Fortunately that is not much of an issue since the readings are more consistent. I also appreciate the use of AA batteries. My biggest complaint is that it no longer has a nightlight feature to be able to be read in the dark, a big feature of the old one that was very nice when caring for a sick child in the middle of the night. All in all, I this is a reliable thermometer that you can have confidence in.
