A Swedish singer, songwriter, and producer who melds dark-hued nostalgia with modern pop romanticism, Augustine emerged in 2019 with cinematic tracks like "Luzon" and "Guts." After several more releases in a similar vein, he returned in 2021 with the stripped-down "Summer Wine."

Originally from Gothenburg, Augustine moved to Stockholm and began developing his distinctive brand of bedroom pop which pits classy organic instrumentation and alluring falsetto vocals against a pulsing indie electronic framework. Helping refine his own production and instrumental skills were established producers Rahmani (LÉON, Skott) and Björnson, who helped shape the evocative and infectious single "Luzon," which arrived in early 2019. Augustine's follow-up, "A Scent of Lily," appeared a few months later and both tracks ended up on his debut EP, Wishful Thinking. Over the next two years, he continued to hone his signature sound on cuts like "Picking Up Speed" and "Prom" before taking a sparser route on his 2021 piano ballad "Summer Wine." ~ Timothy Monger
