I fell I love with books in second grade. Our school library had a biography of each president up to that time and I read all of them. Imagine how skimpy the information was so that a second grader could read the book and even hold it in little hands. Once finished with the presidents I read every other book I had time for. To this day I will read a box label if that is all that is available in my space.
Over the years this love affair showed itself with bookcases and books everywhere. Even my headboard is a bookcase. I bought a reader way back when they first came out and when Oprah bought hers. I managed to download a half dozen items, then shelved it. It is still here somewhere. Meanwhile, with so many books everywhere considering a reader made sense. First of all, along with long ago Dickens and modern writers like Barbara Kingsolver and other long-standing well known and well read authors, I also read some young adult (YA) books (as my grandson pointed out everyone has read Harry Potter, right?). I bought this my inner child 😆 This was a much better deal than buying the "adult version" you get twice as much memory, a case, a longer warranty, kindle kids for a year! I have read more kids books so far than adult books. Plus I love that it tracks my reading lol hold myself accountable to read everyday (sometimes I slack off) I love that I don't get distracted by other apps and things.
