I have a love/hate relationship with these ice cube trays. My husband loves the big cubes for scotch, whisky, liquor drinks because the cube doesn't melt as quickly watering the drink down. Yes, they work great for this. However, they are somewhat challenging to fill because the silicone has so much flexibility. I have a small piece of board that I fill my on. Also, they are a bit challenging to get out as it takes some strong hand strength to work them out of the tray. I also have to keep a small plastic bowl in freezer to put the cubes in when I take them out of the tray, this way they are easily accessible and one does not have to spend any time squeezing them out of the tray one at a time.

It is a little difficult to get the ice cubes out of the mold when frozen but once you figure out exactly how to push up from the bottom it works.
