When my fridge first arrived, it was hot from having been in a delivery truck, and from sitting on my porch. I opened the unit up and left it sitting with the door open for about 15 minutes or so to let it cool down to room temp. I closed the door and plugged it in and set it to cool, then I filled it with items from my actual refrigerator, to help the unit get colder, faster. I’d say do this for the first 24-72 hours to really maximize the units ability to GET cold and STAY COLD. I also think putting a room temp beverage in this unit and expecting it to cool it down as quickly as an actual full size refrigerator is setting yourself up for failure. This unit works WONDERFULLY if you have reasonable expectations of its performance. This unit works best to KEEP cold items cold, but maybe not to chill them from room temperature quickly.
Would totally buy again, pleased with the size - I could fit 4 regular soda cans with room on top for more. I have an air filter running in my room at all times, but the sound of the unit is barely audible - I have to lean in to hear it. The magnet that keeps the door closed is nice and strong and secure. Super pleased so far.
