2020 release. Two years after the release of their highly esteemed album, Excerpts From A Future Past, Swedish adventure rock quintet Hällas sprinkle some magic dust with Conundrum, the final installment of their mysterious trilogy. Dark retro rock with a dash of mystery successfully invites it's listeners for a cosmic ride through a parallel world. Somewhere between the open spaces of hidden soundscapes and straight-up 70's rock riffs, the sonic maze of Conundrum draws you out of the everyday life. Hällas evokes a bizarre world that reveals a magnificent reincarnation of progressive art rock, psychedelic and folk in it's most authentic way. The opening track "Ascension" beguiles with rising atmospheric synth spheres and leads it's listener directly to the clutches of "Beyond Night And Day". Strong 70's rock vibes merging with psychedelic sounds simultaneously reflects the soundscape of the track and Conundrum itself.

Take the late seventies or early eighties - that sound, those guitars, keyboards, those song structures - and give them to a modern Scandinavian band and you are sure to have something wonderful!

If you like Eloy, Saga, or those bands from that time that could write 7-8 minutes of melodic, progressive music, then you'll likely dig this album. Though I heard about it on a heavy metal YouTube channel, it's not really heavy. But it is brilliant!

As a big Hällas fan this was by far a must own for me and I don’t regret this purchase. Came in well packed, no crack on the box or disc and no scratches either. Totally worth it

Era dichiarato "usato come nuovo".
Arrivato in una custodia riciclata da altro cd (quelle per doppio disco), già distrutta prima della partenza e rattoppata alla buona col nastro adesivo trasparente. Lo tengo perchè non ho voglia di perdere tempo ma mi chiedo come vengano fatte le valutazioni dei prodotti ricondizionati dal personale amazon.
L'album di per sè è fantastico, ma si sapeva

If you like 1980s rock, look no further. Reminiscent of RUSH and Emerson Lake and Palmer, this band knows how to rock. A thousand times better than anything on the radio today (except maybe Blinding Lights). If you're not convinced, play track #5 "Carry On", and then try to pretend you don't feel better already.
