From a young age, Roberts Liardon was destined to become one of the most well known Christian authors and orators of the 20th century. He has, to date, sold over 15 million books worldwide that have been translated into more than 60 languages. Having ministered in over 125 countries to members of the public and world leaders, Liardon is recognized internationally and has experienced great success as an author, public speaker, spiritual leader, church historian, and humanitarian.

Roberts Liardon was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as the first male child born at Oral Roberts University. His career in the ministry began at a young age of 13, when he gave his initial public address. At 17, Liardon published the book, “I Saw Heaven”, which catapulted him into the public eye. The book sold over 1.5 million copies and by the following year, he had become one of the leading public speakers in the Christian community all over the world. This established him as a leading Protestant Church historian, a role he carries with honor to this day. God spoke to Liardon and inspired him to write and produce a book series and DVD series entitled ‘God’s Generals’. Its mission is aimed to chronicle the lives of some of the leading Pentecostal and charismatic leaders. It was an immediate success and became one of the bestselling Christian DVD series in history. In 1990, Roberts Liardon moved to Southern California and founded his worldwide headquarters in Orange County. Here he started one of the largest Christian Churches and Bible Colleges in the region.

The ministry helps millions of lives through the power of the Holy Spirit. Liardon is a significant contributor towards building God’s Kingdom, with the belief that relationships are the key element that bonds the staff at Roberts Liardon Ministries to people around the world. Each year, millions are touched through this worldwide ministry, a genuine resource of victory for the entire Body of Christ.

Roberts Liardon continues to speak to this generation of believers, and reaches out to those who are eager to read and learn relevant messages that draw the heart closer to God. For over 30 years, he has continued to complete a demanding speaking schedule along with writing books and mentoring a new generation of world leaders to effect change for the church and society. From his ministry, Liardon established, financed, and sent almost 500 men and women to various nations on the globe to help those less fortunate.

Roberts Liardon is dedicated to many services that help spread God’s Word across the world. He has been a dedicated and motivational figure among the religious community ever since first meeting God as a young child. Through his ministry’s Home2Home project, he has expanded his services to people in various countries, where he provides ways for people to bring positive change to the world. Liardon does everything he can to assist local communities lead better and more fulfilling lives. He has spent time in Namibia, Africa, where he received permission to go into the schools and educate people on the effects of HIV/AIDS and its prevention and protection through abstinence and medication. Liardon continues to manage and expand his international headquarters in Florida, and his office in London, England.

Roberts Liardon answers that question with a definite "YES!" He was born in 1966 whilst his mother was a student at Oral Roberts University. His childhood years were full of prayer and Bible study. His sister, Priscilla and him were expected to read 4 chapters a day so as to read the Bible through in a year. His dad left when Roberts was between 5 & 6 and so the two siblings were brought up by their mother and grandmother, an Assembly Of God pastor. Both "parents" believed in training up a child in the way he/she should go. They prayed in both English and in tongues. They were taught to honor their elders.

There are many biblical examples given of visions. Roberts believes much of the New Age is satan's imitation. Four types of visions:
1) Open e.g. John's vision on the Island of Patmos.
2) Trance e.g. Peter praying on the roof.
3) Inward (dream) e.g. King Nebuchadnezzar's dream.
4) Night (dream) e.g. Angel appearing to Joseph.

As Roberts has traveled the world, it has become apparent to him that more and more Christians are experiencing the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy.

"Only God decides when & if we will have visions and dreams - we don't"

Roberts had his vision of heaven in 1974, at the age of 8. He didn't begin to share it for another 8 years when he was in High school. God was/is using it to lead more people to HIM.

It was summer and Roberts came in to read his daily 4 chapters. He felt himself being pulled through the roof of his house. (2 Cor 12:2 - "caught up in the third Heaven). He arrived at a large gate made of solid pearl. Jesus Christ said to him "This is one of the gates." Roberts describes what he saw, saying that it is still clear in his mind, even today.

Jesus took him on a tour of heaven. The streets were paved with gold. "The way we look at wood here on earth is the way Heaven looks at gold - useful and beautiful but nothing out of the ordinary." Even the breezes were filled with the presence of God. Everyone knew his name and that he was just visiting. Everyone looked to be in the prime of life - in their 30's and wearing white robes. He did not see any children where he was taken but talks of other people's visions who have. One example cited is Jesse Duplantis' vision/trip in 1988 when he saw the aborted children.

Angels were strong and tall. Jesus was in tears because of the word's unbelief. Whilst in the River of Life, Jesus dunked him and started a water fight. That was pretty impressive to an 8 year old boy. Jesus took time out to play. That day Jesus became his personal friend.

One building he went into was full of body parts - "Unclaimed blessings." God does not use sickness and disease to teach us a lesson. He wants us to be whole. Jesus ordained Roberts to His work. Told him to take the hard times as stepping stones. (Great lesson for us all there!) Roberts asks "When was the last time you told God you loved him?"

This is just a brief synopsis. There is way more in it than the "glimpse" I have given you.

The faith of a child, that's what Jesus has called us to. Experience the love of God through the eyes of an 8 year old boy and be amazed by God's love for us. He has such wonderful things for us both in this life and in the life to come. Such an encouragement to me as my believing father entered hospice care yesterday. The Holy Spirit is with us always and wants to use us mightily to help others get saved and healed. This book reminds me of what Joan Hunter practices and teaches about new body parts. God's empowered us more than we know and heaven is going to be beyond words!

This was a very touching book. My son passed away and I yearn for knowledge of Heaven!!! I am a Christian and know The Word, and most of this seemed very scriptural. The only part I had a problem with is the warehouse of "unclaimed blessings". I do know that God can heal ANYTHING, but I also believe that He doesn't always heal. My mother was a Godly woman, however she was never healed of her MS, and spent the last 20 years of her life bedridden and hand fed. it is a touching book, though.

I gave this book a very high rating because I found Roberts experience so promising for humanity's chances in heaven.
I feel that most everyone is curious about what will happen to them after they die. Even thought this is through the eyes of an 8 year old boy, it is so interesting to get to read about his vision of heaven. It is a short & fast read......I actually read it twice.......I hope you will enjoy his story as much as I did.

It was very encouraging! I appreciate how Roberts shared how God revealed the scripture supporting what he experienced while in heaven as he matured. He also very nicely explained the different types of visions, trances, and dreams. For those of us who have not had the privilege of visiting heaven, I extend my thanks to Roberts for sharing.

I read it and it is everything you have heard. Oh I really want it to be that way. Hope and pray that it is !

A big waste of time. Its supposedly true. To break it down its about an adult preacher who tells his story. An incident that happened when he was about 8 years old. Sounds like he was dreaming, he was not ill or having a near death experience. He was napping and it all came to him, Jesus included, and heaven that sounds like OZ. Complete with a glittery brick road, houses, stores, candy. Not my cup of tea.
