But her life and her heart are on the line.

Drake joined Titan security undercover to gain acting experience for upcoming Hollywood roles. Determined to right his wrongs, he helps the Rider team and Claire devise a plan against the malicious Titan team. In his struggle to find his place among the battlefield, he finds he’s losing himself to the quirky computer genius, Claire. And maybe if he survives the clash of companies, it’ll be worth it.

At first, I wasn’t sure if I could follow along since I’d not read previous books in this series, but the story hooked me right away. The author made it easy to build connections with the characters and to dig in.

I’ll do my best to not include spoilers... Claire is an edgy hacker who is in a world of trouble, and her hero, Drake, is the most unlikely guy you’d expect to fill the position. He’s resourceful and determined to save the woman he cares about, but I loved how Claire is intelligent, strong-minded, tough, and savvy. She has an incredible mentor who reminds us that strong connections and loyalty matters... as does training and paying close attention to those you respect.

I found it interesting that Drake isn’t the typical “A” personality we expect to find in books with romance as an element, but he is still an A-all-the-way character, perfect for Claire, even if she doesn’t trust him, at first. No spoilers... the details are worth exploring firsthand, and I’m glad the author sent me the book in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.

The plot was quite in-depth, full of surprises, and kept me engaged. I want to know more about Maxine Rider, so I’ll have to read the first three books in the series to get a better understanding of her overall complexities, but this is indeed a standalone book that’s linked to interconnecting stories.

As for villains, the author succeeding in making me loathe Lucius, a creep of infinite proportions... the character we love to hate! I'm thankful that my disgust over Lucius was balanced by Bear, an adorable dog who isn’t always so adorable. This character stuck a deep chord with me because I also had a dog named “Bear.”

I’ve read books where the ending leaves you unfulfilled, but it appears CB Samet is adept at giving us what we crave while allowing room for another splinter of the story to continue via another great book, taking you deeper into the series. I like investing my time into characters who don’t suddenly disappear at “The End,” so this book is perfect for having the choice to either read it and move on or to be faithful to the series.

Best of all, Samet permits us to enjoy a nicely written happily-ever-after conclusion tinged with a delightful aftertaste for those who crave more! I’m so glad I decided to read this book.

This is the fourth book in this series and I did feel lost at times even though the author tried giving a bit of background into the characters. Unfortunately because of this, the story was a bit staggered for me since a bit of the book was of the other characters and not just about Drake and Claire.
Drake is a B actor and went undercover for a rival security firm than the one Claire works for. His firm makes a move on Claire that he isn’t happy with and sets out to rescue her when she gets caught by the enemy. He’s just an actor and Claire is their computer guru, two unlikely people to thwart ex military men sent out to harm her. It will take all his skills to find her and then keep her safe while her team pulls together to take down the enemy.
I did enjoy the story and the suspense especially how it all plays out and the how team gets altogether to take down a nemesis.

She is a hacker and she will soon be in the middle of danger when she is targeted for being such a great hacker. He joined up to get the understanding for a role in a film. He is out into many different situations. He finds himself being drawn to her. What will happen to them? See how they do

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the story of Claire and Drake. They share a complicated past, a dangerous present and theoretically no future. Drake took a job with Titan to get acting experience as an undercover agents. See, Drake is an Actor. No military training of any kind. He was assigned by his boss to get close to Claire. Claire is the computer hacker extraordinaire for Rider SI. Everything after that incolves too many details, backstories and complications to get into. This is the climax to the series and ties up a lot of loose ends. Well written, engaging, and a wonderful adventure. HEA.

Claire the hacker, the computer whiz, the gamer not only comes up with some 007 type crime fighting hacks, she gets the guy. Drake may not be ex-military or law enforcement but he sure looks the part. With his stuntman’s skills, some smart thinking on the fly and “actor” confidence hopefully he can make up for earlier errors and impress Claire’s family of choice.

The whole Rider SI team has to come together in their attempt to finally take down baddie Lucius Titan. Sometimes what we see them doing is not what’s going on, so we get some happy surprises. The plotting and planning is played out rather than explained which makes reading this book sort of like watching a movie while you read, love that. The romance is subtle and Maxine Rider along with Claire has a guy courting her affections.

This story has been building through previous books so it is big and fun and exciting and a cool ride, don’t miss it.

I was gifted this book and voluntarily reviewed it.

There were too many POV's for me. I like POV books but more so when there is like 2. It was an intriguing story with suspense and love. I recieved an arc copy in exchange for my honest review

I received this book as part of an ARC review. There is a lot of action in this book with some romance. Claire and Drake break up when she finds out he works for Titan Enterprises. When Drake finds out Claire is in danger he goes to her place but it's too late. Claire has been kidnapped to pump her for information on Rider SI. Drake manages to rescue her before she is tortured and the master plan to destroy Lucius Titan is started. It takes multiple plays where the assassination attempts against the Rider SI team are thwarted and information collected is used to take down Lucius. While Maxine wants him sent to jail, he does receive justice in form from one he abused and used as well. The good guys win and the book ends with happy endings for Rider SI people which includes Drake who Maxine hired during the sting.
