3 years ago, I would never believe I could write this bio...

My writing journey didn't start with books. It started with delivering newspapers. Twice a week, I drove my rickety van across my college campus, smudging my hands with the ink from stories I wanted to write.

I thought the news industry was my path, that I would follow in the footsteps of my journalist father.

The internet had other plans.

Starting in 2015, I took a blog about creativity from ZERO people to nearly 60,000. During this time, I have been featured in Inc. Magazine, the Huffington Post, the Muse, and reached the #1 post in the world on CNBC. (My mom was really excited about that one).

I am the author of 3 books: The Creative's Curse, The Unstoppable Creative, and The Unfair Advantage. The latter of these will be released this August 2019 in the UK.

Where do I get off writing about creativity? I'm so glad you asked:

I've produced video in Madrid, France, Boston, London, and of course my home near Nashville, Tennessee. Over the years I've produced MARCOM award-winning animations and videos. I've been a paid writer, animator, graphic designer, and public speaker.

I am married to the woman of my dreams, and we have one fur baby - a very entitled bulldog named Francis.

That I am able to wake up each morning and live this life is incredible to me.

Thank you to everyone who continues to make it possible <3

(Still reading? No way. That's amazing. Since that's the case, why don't you head over to toddbrison.com/infiniteIdeas to get my free playbook on generating ideas for life)

Easy to get off-track. Sometimes we wonder what or where the track is. This book is packed full of ideas to stay in touch with the Muse. She really is the unstoppable creative.

As a creative, sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who thinks and behaves the way I do. This book helps disarm those feelings. And encourages me to believe in my potential and be patient with my current abilities and position in life.

This book seems great but for whatever reason every few pages one of them is loose enough to fall out just from me trying to turn them. Started the book just now and I’m 7 pages in and 4 pages have already fallen out.

"Art is telling your story by any means necessary." I've never heard it described that way before but it makes perfect sense. From creating a supportive environment to working in sprints to reinventing yourself. It's the kind of book you'll keep around for those times where motivation wanes or frustration gets the better of you.

I think this book was edited by the author. There are so many errors the value of the content is diminished. Extra words, terrible grammar (and I’m not being a snob) even incomplete sentences. The advice given isn’t worth the struggle it takes to read it.

For my entire life, I've loved creating. Whether it's writing, making videos on my YouTube channel, or some other form of creativity, I just have things in my brain that I need to get out to the world. That's why I'm so glad I came across the work of Todd Brison. Recently, I read his first book The Creative's Curse during a time when I was kind of in a creative slump, and it was super inspiring. So, I picked up this book and loved it as well.

The Unstoppable Creative is more about developing a practice and how to get your work out there. What I love about Todd's method is that he doesn't overwhelm you with advice. He knows that there's compound interest in creating small, meaningful practices. If you're an artist, writer, musician, or any other type of creator, I guarantee you'll benefit from this book.

It was a pretty good book! Some things I hadn't considered but most stuff I've read before. I was getting distracted by typos, that would be my biggest complaint but I'm that kind of person. It was an inspiring book, though!

I am a fan. I admit it. Todd's books offer you practical and down-to-earth guidance about the creative life. This life is no picnic. It's work. There are failures and boredom. Todd addresses these issues. And, he provides solutions that make sense. The thing is no one person approaches life the same way. Like >Chapter 2: Two Mental Tricks Unstoppable Creatives Use for a Bulletproof Mindset. Don't we all need help to get out of our own way? Or, importantly > Chapter 18: How to Take Other People’s Money Without Feeling Guilty. Creative people need to eat. We need to create and unless a patron comes along you better figure out how to get paid. Want to have a life that is creative and full? Use Todd's books as your guide. He won't steer you wrong.
