The one thing I did notice is that right after the first use, the inside of the lid turned black. We have a big mosquito problem in the mornings or early evenings on my lanai. I wanted a mosquito coil holder that is safe and effective. This holder does the trick--I just light a coil, pop it on to the holder inside the pot and cover it with the lid. The coil burns down and keeps those pesky mosquitos away, but also acts as a barrier to prevent anything from touching the lit part of the coil and catching on fire. Safety first. It looks great hanging on my patio table too!

I knocked off a star because the paint or glaze used on this item becomes wet and sticky from the heat of the coil. This is especially a problem on the inner part of the lid--my fingers grazed it when I was trying to clean the ashes, and the sticky paint/glaze got on my knuckles. That was rather unpleasant.
