I have only given 2 of these for a gift and the first one I married. The second 1 was for my wife (so yes, I gave them both to the same person 9 years apart). She left the crock on the porch for the dogs to clean out meaning she doesn't learn from watching the dogs. So one of the shepherds decided to take it off the porch to eat it in the yard, the crock didn't survive the trip down the steps. So I bought he a new one (exactly like the first one) and warned her not to put it on the porch for the dogs to destroy. She did once and I instantly told her to get back on the porch and guard her crock. She doesn't leave it on the porch any more.

There are buttons for different heats, but they are all the same. They are all HOT! Food burns and liquid boils even when it’s just set to warm. I have a feeling this will destroy any meal that’s left in it for more than a few hours. What’s the point of a crock pot if you can’t leave it on all day?!?
Aside from that, the nonstick coating and does not seem durable. Other reviews show it peeling away after a couple uses. While it’s in the small print description, it seems like the name of tbe item should state that it is nonstick.
I had my last crockpot for years and and always regretting this replacement one after just a couple uses.
I guess it’s time to look at different brands!
