A treasure trove of information, like an encyclopedia

I read conservative authors to get informed. After reading them I usually write something like this in pencil on the last page. "Don't put this in your book shelf collection where it will gather dust. Put it to use and donate it so that others can learn". I than donate it to a local thrift store. I think this book will be an exception and I will keep it for the incredible information within which can come in handy for letters to the editor. Incredibly researched and with impressive footnotes, this book is a must read for everyone especially a young family with children. Easy to read too. Get it!

Liz Wheeler does a great job of concisely detailing the rise of Marxism into American culture and the establishment, and she has some practical ideas on how we can turn things around. If you've ever looked around and thought "how on earth did we get to this level of depravity and evil in the U.S." then this just may be the book that answers that question for you. While it may seem like we've gone downhill fast, this is something that has been at work for decades. This isn't a book about Democrat vs. Republican. While most of the neo-Marxists in the U.S. today identify as Democrats/liberals/progressives, it's as much the fault of Republicans for allowing Marxism into our government-sponsored institutions in the guise of "acceptance" and "tolerance" as anything. If you're a parent or a grandparent who isn't already aware of the neo-Marxist agenda for indoctrinating your kids into their demonic beliefs and lifestyles, you should certainly read this book. Hide Your Children! Or at least get them out of government schools.

Great book, with one caveat

Liz Wheeler is a superb thinker and communicator. I love this book, but it has one problem.

The great: (1) A succinct, understandable view of the new Marxist left's assault, and how that captures children's thoughts and actions. (2) A wonderful--and needed--definition of "conservatism" that includes government, economics, and culture, rather than the truncated libertarian definition that neuters many in the conservative movement.

The one problem: In looking at the definition of conservative that includes the spiritual dimension, Liz doesn't have a good grasp of much outside her Roman Catholic world, speaking as if Catholicism was just about all there is to Christianity (she occasionally acknowledges that protestant evangelicals exist, but doesn't delve much into them, while copiously quoting and citing the Vatican). Thus, this is not a book I can give to a fellow evangelical without a lot of qualifiers.

I recommend getting it, though. A much-needed analysis.
