...so far my experience (20 days or so) with my JumpSport 220 has been excellent! I LOVE this product and wish I could get one for every person I care about.
I got interested in rebounding recently because I was noticing that my general healing time and over-all feeling of good health were on an unusual downward slide. For most of my life my body's immune system and healing ability have been almost unshakable; usually it is rare and takes a LOT for me to get sick. But, I was noticing a relatively steep decline, so I started nosing around the internet for clues ...most of which pointed to lymphatic stagnation ...and every Google search including the term "lymph" will eventually lead to rebounding, so I thought I'd give 'er a go.
When my research of specific product options narrowed, I quickly concluded that JumpSport is the only brand to buy. Although, I should say that I am in no way affiliated with the manufacturing or sale of any rebounder whatsoever. The JS220 just seemed to fit my needs. And, boy howdy, does it ever!
Since starting to bounce I have noticed impressive improvement in several areas:
- I can feel strength, stability, and balance developing in all of my joints, hips and knees in particular. Joint pain has been my only health complaint, even since I was a kid, because I have spinal curvature and a pelvic tilt that disrupts my alignment. Since starting on the JS220 10-40min 4 days a week, I can say that for the first time ever, I have no noticeable discomfort in my joints ...and it feels SO GOOD! Like, magical...
- My healing and immunity have returned to their normal level of (excellent) function, maybe better. For example, I live with my younger brother and on Sunday he came down with the absolute worst flu I have ever seen him endure. He's been running a temp of at least 100.7 all the way up to 102 for 72hrs straight. I have been in close contact with him through the whole ordeal, doing whatever I can to help. I fully expected that even while rebounding, plus minding my hand washing and hydration, I would still eventually get sick too, but for the most part, I feel just fine! It is a beautiful thing.
-My mental focus and endurance are much improved. I have delt with the difficulties of ADHD my whole life, but was undiagnosed until about 27 (I'm 31). It has always been a struggle, even with medication and behavioral treatments. Since starting rebounding I find that I am able to focus enough to read for extended periods, sit through movies (this NEVER happens), and generally stay on task much better. I feel like an actual grown-up! :)
-Finally, my cardiovascular system has made leaps and bounds (hehehe) since starting on the JS220. As recently as three weeks ago I would find myself heavily winded and unable to carry a conversation for a good 20min after climbing four flights of stairs. Late last week I made the trek up and although I was still breathing harder than normal, it was in no way uncomfortable and I could visit easily within 5min, tops.
As far as the specifics of the quality of the JS220 in particular, so far I have literally no complaints. I was able to assemble the thing in 15min or so, even though I have basically zero mechanical skills. I was very surprised by how light and easy to maneuver it is - I expected it to be kind of a pain in the butt, but, not at all! I love that it is a very quiet bounce; my brother has been sitting in the next room and had no idea I was jumping.
One suggestion I was going to make: in the event that your excitement leads you to a bit too much jumping in the first few days, soaking in a hot Epsom salt bath might help a lot. At least, it helped me :)
I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend this to anyone. (People are probably getting sick of hearing me gush about it.) As soon as I can I plan to get one for my mom too. Her lymph and cardiovascular function are so diminished that it impacts every part of her life daily. I have no question that she will enjoy profound improvement in her health and quality of life through rebounding with the JumpSport 220.

I've been looking for ways to improve my health in 2012 and increasing my level of exercise is part of a two prong plan to do so. Since it's still winter, I was looking for a way to exercise indoors that would help raise my cardio output but in a low or preferably non-impact manner. In addition to having really bad arthritis, due to a couple of bad falls my kneecaps are held in place by screws so I need to be *really* careful what type of impact they are exposed to.I did a lot of research not only about the various types of trampolines but also as to their health benefits. There is some promising research that suggests that the lymphatic system cam greatly benefit from the gravity effects experienced while rebounding. If this is true, I would want the benefits to last and from some reviews on other units, longevity can be an issue with indoor trampolines. The Jumpsport had the best reputation for quality and customer service so I figured I would give this a try.It arrived within five business days of ordering, in large diameter, flat box. The legs are not attached for shipping and it took under ten minutes to assemble with the allan wrench provided which was easy for me to do.It comes with a workout DVD which I was happy and surprised to find that the leader of the workout is a mature woman, 50+ years old. I have some serious limitations at the moment so I was thrilled that the video had anything remotely possible for me to make a start with. The instructors demonstrates modifiers for various levels of ability so even I could participate from day one. The video is shot in a very clear format - white background, three women, no bells or whistles. There are seven sections including a warm up, stretch, cardio, strength, upper body, core, and final stretch. Lasts about a half hour if you do the whole thing.The trampoline itself is a ROCK SOLID build which relived any fears I had about my height/weight being the right match for this unit. I am 5' 11" and at the moment close to 200lbs; I was concerned that my heels may come too close to the ground on a good hard jump but I found I have several inches of ample clearance and nothing to worry about there. I have been using this in short intervals but so far I have not had any increase in pain in my knees, hips, etc. It has a really nice feel to the bounce - soft enough of a bounce not to hurt but firm and responsive enough that you feel you're catching a little bit of loft/air.This is just my first week with the Jumpsport so if any issues develop with quality or durability I will update this review accordingly. In the meanwhile, so far I'm very impressed with the product which I feel meets the claims set forth in the description and would recommend.02/27/12 UPDATE: Much to my own surprise, two days ago I was able to make it through the whole half hour workout. Although I was a little (well honestly A LOT) more tired than usual the day after and into today, I have not experienced any unusual soreness like when I have started other workouts.I am really happy that I was able to actually complete a full workout, and part of that accomplishment is due to the excellent DVD and positive coaching it provided. I had to use the modifiers and do the push ups standing, leaning into a countertop as I can;t easily get on the floor. I've posted a photo of a screen shot from the video; as I'd mentioned above, it is filmed very clearly and that makes it very easy to follow.I'll continue to post progress with the Jumpsport but for those on the fence about whether they can do this with a disability, I'd say this really is worth the 30 day try, with nothing to loose and maybe some really great results to gain. -DG
