She dominates the court. He defends all in need of protection. Will they ace their path to a future forever?

Aurora Meridian refuses to be beaten again. Held back by an ankle injury and fighting to return to the top of the circuit, the tennis superstar finally has her eyes set on a major win. And, she isn’t about to let death threats stand in her way, especially when her security detail comes in the form of a super-sexy hunk.

Mason Stone won’t get his fingers burned twice. After his last client falsely accused him of unwanted advances, the former Navy SEAL keeps a strictly hands-off relationship. But, it’s borderline torture when sparks start to fly with his new assignment, and all he can do is bury the feelings.

Frustrated not to be making any headway with her scorching-hot bodyguard, Aurora is getting seriously unnerved by the still-flowing string of hate. But, when Mason’s charge is physically attacked, nothing will stop him from bringing down the hammer of justice and wrapping his muscly arms around his beloved.

Can they survive the mysterious menace and take game, set, and match with a happily-ever-after?

Meridian File is the captivating first book in The Rider Files romantic suspense series. If you like engaging characters, sizzling tension, and a dash of sporting passion, then you’ll adore C. B. Samet’s saucy rally.

I enjoyed this book immensely and even stayed up til 2.40a to finish it! The plot had flow and I felt as if I knew the characters.
One thing was off-putting - the proofreading was not well done, to the point of irritation.
Would I read another File book? In a red-hot minute!

I liked the book and the story, but I think the book was a bit slow. It could have been shorter and still kept all the necessary details.

This story kept you engaged until the end. What a good love story. Love the strong alpha character Mason. Loved the determination of Aurora! Great happy ever after ending.

The main charactes are loveable enough and their live story is sweet. Everyone loves a sports comeback story. The suspense side was predictable and for the most part not very suspenseful. The book could use another round of edits as there are many typos and the ending could be tightened up and shorter.

The first of three completed books. Not as good as the second one but still an enjoyable read.

Tennis can be a tough sports especially since Aurora was working on coming back with a stalker on her. Hiring bodyguards to protect you is the answer for protecting her only to have her fall in love with one of the bodyguards, Mason. Mason is falling for Aurora also. They find each other after they find who the stalker(s) are.

I enjoyed this contemporary romance and suspense story highlighting an American tennis player on the international circuit receiving death threats in the mail. Her parents employ a team of expert bodyguards who keep her safe through increasing danger. The characters are realistic and flawed, but have a lot of drive, perseverance, and integrity. While the danger gets intense, and the attraction is clearly established, there are no graphically described scenes to make the reader uncomfortable.

4.0 out of 5 stars An ok read

Nothing overtly dramatic, suspenseful or gruesome subjects, a little bland because there was no tension despite the Russian mob being involved. It just skimmed along the top, in those areas making the book romance much more of an interest. You just had to put up with the main male and female characters interacting from the get go, until they finally got together.
I’d say both sides of this story, the romance and the threats could have been written crisper, clearer adding suspense where needed. Even the near death experience didn’t move me.

An easy read that runs fairly a standard romance line. However great characters make this more interesting than most other books.
