Love in the End Zone (A Never Say Never Football Romance Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 178 ratings

Pro quarterbacks regularly face tough linemen determined to knock them down—but for one hotshot athlete, it was an infuriating blonde who stood the best chance of laying him on his back. Carina Rose brings you a swoony enemies to lovers sports romance!

I was one of the top quarterbacks in the league, riding high after scoring a lucrative deal with the DC Rockets. Fans adored me, sponsors wanted me, and women, well, they were eager to date me. Except my life revolved around football, not falling in love.

Until I saw her.

I’d just scored the winning touchdown, sending the Rockets into the playoffs and ending the Virginia Thunder’s season. I spiked the ball and basked in the fans’ cheers. I’d done it. But then I took off my helmet and locked eyes with a gorgeous blonde.

She wasn’t cheering. Instead, she stood with her arms crossed, glaring at me. I smirked and winked, hoping to soften her murderous expression. Except it had the opposite effect. Rather than smiling back, she lifted her hand and extended her middle finger before disappearing into the crowd.

That was unexpected.

After my press conference, I couldn’t stop thinking about the woman in the stands. It didn’t help that social media had turned our interaction into a meme, and then I found out that the beauty was none other than Reese Parker, granddaughter of Charles Reese, owner of the Virginia Thunder. Which explained her reaction… sort of.

I should have been preparing for the playoffs, but all I wanted to do was convince her I wasn’t enemy number one—and that scoring with me would be her best move.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5STEAM: 🔥🔥Reese Parker has a bone to pick with Trent Archer. Not only is he in the process of knocking her grandfather's beloved Virginia Thunders team out of the playoffs, but he also turned down an offer to become a backup quarterback for the Thunders and broke her sorority sister's heart. So when he makes the final touchdown that confirms the end of the Thunders' playoff run, Reese does something that cemented her and Trent's place in Internet meme history. It also catches the quarterback's attention, leaving hearts where his green eyes once were. But Reese is not easily swayed. Will Trent be able to convince her that he is not what she had assumed and that he is worth dating? This book was light and well-paced. I love Reese so much; she is smart, loyal, and independent. Her penchant for football stats and trivia is adorable. I also adore that Trent recognizes this and respects it.This is a slow burn with only a couple of steamy scenes, but the nice tension between Trent and Reese is enough to keep you turning the pages. The transition from enemies to friends to lovers was smooth and seamless, and the supporting cast was also phenomenal.Love in the End Zone is the first book in the series, and it looks like we're getting Jackson's story next. Loved Trent and Reese's story. I laughed so hard at the beginning of this book when Reese saw Trent after the game! There were many lol moments throughout their story. Their banter was awesome. Their story was beautifully written and heartfelt. I was immediately hooked from the first few pages.

This was a beautiful story. Lower on the spicy scale with only one moderate spicy scene but the steam and love from these two made up for it.

Very week written, very believable storyline, real characters with real problems that were dealt with on the page.

I loved his big declarations for her always happened in front of the cameras ❤️😂

These two are Magic together ❤️

Love in the End Zone: Never Say Never 1--PG13
Violence: no
Language: about 30, including deity
Sex: yes

I think using genital arousal (adjust my pants, flash of heat between my legs) portends trouble, if you're looking for a clean romance. I should have gone with my gut on this one. But, it was closed-door with a lot of "this is what I will do to show her how I feel"-type thoughts. The plot was fine. I am not continuing with the series.

Super cute read!! I loved Trent and Reese! Their story was adorable, going from enemies to lovers, giving him a chance after how she felt about it. It was a great story line. I loved how she helped him during his time of need and how he tied everything together in the end. Some angst, spice was low. Still a really great romance read.

Whoa, women don't usually react like that to Trent. The glare. The rude gesture. Yeah, the gorgeous woman obviously dislikes him and famed QB Trent wants to know why. Wants to know why so he can set about changing her mind and to get her in his life. He didn't realize just who she was to his sport, or that he'd have to work seriously hard to change her mind about him. Will Reese ever see inside to the truth of him?

Reese loves her family's football heritage. She doesn't work for them, but she loves it, loves the game. Trent is a guy who doesn't have a good rep with her family, and she's held a grudge ever since. But letting her displeasure with him goad her into publicly expressing it was perhaps not a good idea. Now she's on his (and the public's) radar, and the man is set on getting to know her. When she finds he's not really the man she had thought, will she allow him into her heart? Or will he always remain the object of her grudge?

Reese and Trent are the kind of enemies to lovers I like best - witty, snarky antagonistic tension that's just masking serious attraction that turns to deeper feelings. Sassy, feisty and smart Reese is the standout with her smart stats geek brain and fierce loyalty and love for her family. Trent isn't really the jerk he seemed to be, is actually a swoon worthy loving man hiding behind his reputation. The way he and Reese fell in love made for the very best kind of enemies to lovers romance, and I can only wish I could read more about them.

This book had me hanging on from the very beginning. I was so enthralled from the first chapter and couldn't put it down once I got started. I'm a sucker for sports romances and this was a new author I had never read a book by before but I kept hearing about this book so I decided to give it a try and I'm so happy that I did!

I loved the banter between Reese and Trent! The chemistry was off the charts and although this book is family long I felt like it passer by so quickly because I just never wanted it to end.

This book introduced us to a cast of characters I can't wait to read more about.

This was my first time reading Carina Rose and it definitely won’t be the last! This was a fun, easy read and I’m looking forward to seeing more from this world.

Reese and Trent were such a fun couple to read. I love that Reese was happy to stand up to Trent despite him being the big football star. As the story went on I loved getting to see more and more of Trent’s softer, caring side.

Love in the End Zone was a great story. It has so many troupes in one story, that I enjoy, there was sports, romance, enemies to lovers, sexiness, emotion, and so much more. The characters were intriquing, and I liked their banter. The supporting characters were great too. This is the first novel I have read from this author, and she has herself a new reader. I can't wait to read more of her stories.

This is the first time ive read a book by this author and overall i found it an enjoyable easy read. Trent and Reese had great chemistry and I liked how the relationship evolved. I did go into this thinking it was going to be more of an enemies to lovers situation which it started off as but then soon became more friends to lovers. A very sweet sports romance which made me smile
