When using IF YOU CARE Parchment Paper, no greasing of your pans is necessary. This is because our unbleached parchment paper is coated with silicone on both sides. Most other parchment papers are coated with Quilon - which is a chemical containing chrome, a heavy metal – and when incinerated, it becomes toxic and leaves trace elements in your baked goods. The reason why the majority of other brands use Quilon coated parchment paper is because the cost is substantially lower than using silicone coating. Like all our paper products, our Parchment Paper is totally chlorine-free, so no chlorine or chlorine derivatives are dumped into our lakes, rivers, and streams. IF YOU CARE is a brand that cares about our health and environment as much as you do. I love using this parchment paper. One less thing I have to worry about and so thankful that these exist. I don't use other brands. This is it. Plus they're available in stores near me and maybe near yours.

The one thing I will say is that the cutting edge doesn't actually help to cut the paper to your desired length, just doesn't. No matter how much I try. I always have to reach for my trusty ol' kitchen scissors, but this alone is not enough for me to knock it down a star, or stop using them.

Buy it. Your health and planet will be thankful.

Insert top flap in box. Extend parchment roll to desired length. Hold top tab down firmly with thumb and tear parchment downward along cutter." It worked quite well.

I love this stuff for all of the reasons most other people do. It's not laden with chemicals that will leach into your food. The paper is unbleached, biodegradable, and compostable.
There's not much I don't like about this brand, except for the packaging. The "cutting" edge is made of material that is SO flimsy, it's useless. Literally, useless.
Whenever I use this product (which is every time I need parchment for something) 100% of the time the "cutting" edge DOES. NOT. WORK. In fact, any attempt to utilize it only results in the teeth of the "cutting" edge breaking off completely, the package getting dented and crumpled, and the paper getting torn in ways you don't want it to tear.
Save yourself the trouble and just use scissors. NOPE! Don't even TRY to use the "cutting" edge. Yes, it's that bad.
Also, as an aside to this company, "If You Care" has got to be, hands down, THE most passive aggressive company name in the history of company names. Really bad. REALLY bad. Thank God the department in charge of creating the product is light years ahead of the department in charge of naming things.

I don't give a lot of 5 star reviews, but I will for this product. If my research is correct, this is non-toxic and as far as performance it is much better than the "bleached" parchment paper, cooked food slides off easily, doesn't need any added oils, clean up is less messy. The container is a little flimsy, but I don't really care about that. I will definitely keep reordering this.
