This is a huge deal, I have been reading the digest for 40+ years and this is the best deal I have ever got on RD.great and informative and great comedy stories. This is worth the ridiculous low price.....

No matter ones age, education, station in life or interests, there is bound to be something to please. A cornucopia of delightful reading. Articles are short enough to read when one has only a short amount of time available at the moment.

My nine-year-old son does not like reading fiction (oh, the irony, since I am a fiction writer). I loved RD as a child in the 80s so when Kindle Unlimited offered a subscription, I signed up. My son read the entire first issue "cover-to-cover" in under two hours and then started again from the beginning. He loved it so much I ended up purchasing a subscription AND I bought several back issues of the print version so he wouldn't have to wait a month to get another issue. He has also been reading the back issues cover-to-cover. I have not been overly concerned about him reading inappropriate content, and I LOVE that he is always willing to read one of these magazines. Usually, it's a fight to get him to read because most of the reading material in the house is fictional and he really hasn't been interested.

I have been a Reader's Digest reader practically all my life (about 35 yrs., I believe). It's a magazine that I have always enjoyed. Imagine my surprise when Amazon offered it as a subscription on my phone. Ironically enough, I just logged in and have begun to read several of the articles. I love the clarity of the words, the spacing between the letters, words, lines of text, the chosen font, and the fact that I can view it without advertisements and pictures. The white words pop pleasantly against the black background. It's nice having access to the magazine at all times. It is quite enjoyable reading on the screen. Even though I'm nearsighted--because of the clarity of the screen and the chosen font--it has allowed me to read without eye strain. I feel like I've been given an enjoyable gift. Thanks to Reader's Digest and Amazon.

I've been reading "Reader's Digest" since the 1960s and even used to collect old issues back into the 1950s. Unfortunately my mom threw them all out. The old "Digests" used to have a wonderful "book section." Today's "Digest" is not as good, but most of the articles are still good: some informative, some touching, some to be mindful over. Thankfully the "Digest" went through its phase where it had to modernize everything for the modern reader, like the renaming of departments and the BIG COLORED WORDS phase for emphasis as if we were preschoolers, and now they have the old departments back (except they are too short!) like "Laughter: the Best Medicine," "Humor in Uniform," and of course the wonderful "Word Power" feature. I also like the new feature of stories in 100 words. Who knew "drabbles" could be so entertaining? Also got a good rate from Amazon.

Readers Digest is a little bit opinionated on the right side of things, so if this is your leaning, it might be affirming. I found it a little annoying, but I still peruse it at nighttime because it's easy to read and I skip articles that I don't want to waste my time on. Won't buy a subscription again..

I've read Readers Digest for years and I love this E version, no paper to throw away. Its easy to pick it up and read a quick interesting article or two, or some of their endless jokes. I think they have a nice variety of stories, not too hard to follow or understand.
