I have a lot of piercings and 5 of them have the bar with the flat back and are in the curve of my ear and I have long nails so it's hard to tighten them so I got these so my husband could help me and they work great for what I needed them for. But they do look slightly irregular. I work in a dental office and use these daily and they so not loo like the same quality but like I said I just needed for at home use but would never order them for my office.

I purchased these forceps because I needed a decent set of affordable forceps to work with hot beeswax-coated items without being burned. They are heavy stainless, well made, well-priced...but they are not 'polished' or precise-fitted like a real surgical forcep is...so for hobby work, they are GREAT at a GREAT PRICE...but to do anything relative to surgery, sutures, etc., I'd take a pass and pay the BIG BUCKS for the real deal. For anything from fly tying to arts-and-crafts or paracord, these work GREAT!

Got to put in my tackle bag for removing hooks that get swallowed.
As other have said there are defects or at least quality/manufacturing issues with the guality of the metal. Mine came with a chip on the end of one them.

I haven't had a chance to put them to use due to weather but I can't complain because of the price.

If these hold up great, if they fail then I'll end up spending a few dollars more for some a bit more robust.

I use pompoms with pastel chalk that is ground up in artwork and sometimes coloring. It can be tiresome and messy to hold the pompom so I started looking for an alternative method. Pliers were to heavy, tweezers also tiring so I purchased these.
Compared to pliers these of course are lightweight but importantly they lock so if I set them down the pompom won't roll away making a mess. They have made the job of using pastels so much easier and I have no issues with pain or fatigue from holding a heavier tool.
Must have tool for artists.

For the price you can't beat it. I'd consider these "throw away" if they break and just get new ones. I mainly use them for fishing purposes and in the car. Makes it easy to grab things that fall into cracks. The way they lock is a little annoying but no biggie.
