Best HomeKit doorbell if set up properly
I have bought two of of these Logitech doorbells since 1) the doorbell itself is relatively easy to install, 2) camera provides good image quality, and 3) doorbell has accurate motion detection.However, to get it to work properly, I STRONGLY recommend changing to a 24V 40VA transformer due to potential overheating. After digging into the settings a bit, I think the main heat culprit is the fact that the doorbell boosts it’s input voltage to 35ish volts so using a higher voltage transformer will reduce the amount the doorbell has to boost and, thus, heat generation. I initially had the doorbell wired to a 16V 10VA transformer and it would work but get very hot. Initially thinking the heat was due to the doorbell being close to direct sunlight during the day, I ended up cutting the holder and installing a nvme Heatsink as shown in picture. Unfortunately, this did not solve the issue as I only subsequently realized that, with the 16V 10VA transformer, the doorbell would instantly heat up (i.e., no way Heatsink could keep up with heat). Changing to a 24V 40VA transformer significantly helped with heat — there is still some heat but not enough to affect operation.However, changing the transformer made it so the chime kit would no long activate my old chime, which was digital. By connecting the transformer terminal on the chime directly to the 16V 10VA transformer instead of to the chime kit allowed it to work. Weirdly, I could never get the 24V 40VA transformer in the same configuration to work. You can get the doorbell to chime on HomePod, but the chime was too quiet so bought an analog chime which worked perfectly. Not sure if the issue was my old chime or the chime kit, but recommend switching to an analog chime if you are having issues with chime kit activating digital chime.

This doorbell camera works so good that I’m damn near tempted to replace my floodlight camera with it. If you want something that is native to HomeKit, can detect animals, people, cars, or any motion in a capacity that you can rely on, than this is the one for you. I’ve tried this, Eufy flood light cameras, and Ring floodlight cameras, and out of all three - this one works the best consistently. I’ve had it for approximately 1.7 years - and I’ve had to unplug/replug it twice during that time - but otherwise it’s worked amazingly for me. I highly recommend this product, and especially so if you’re a Mac person.
