'The Creativity Leap' helps us to trust more in our creative intelligence

'The Creativity Leap' helps us to trust more in our creative intelligence
Natalie Nixon asks us take a creative leap forward. As she balances the importance between chaordic and rigor processes we are encourage to open up to our 'wonder' - which allows us to ask audacious questions and being 'ok' in getting lost in questions and ideas. She prods us to inquire with better questions that are thoughtful and intentional while learning to trust and value intuition more and use it as a data point to stretch the 'norm' of business thinking. Another key to effectively trusting our creative leap is to put bravery before mastery and like bees, design a 'trusted' community that can zoom out to the collective and yet zoom in to rigorous detail. Going forward into 4th Industrial, Natalie stresses the value of learning in more of the apprentice continual learning model – that requires a practice of inquiry, improvisation and yes, intuition. Creativity is about challenging our assumptions about the ‘right way’ and begin testing new ways of being and doing in a more uncertain and ambiguous future. She offers 3 creative 'leaps' to broaden our perspective - from stressing deep specialization to broad experience, from rational to ambiguity thinking, and from organizational silos to a network communities. In summary, the more diverse the inputs the more innovative and creative the outputs. It's a must read for all innovators.
