So I think (as with all indicator strips) the individual tests are reasonably accurate. The big thing with this monitoring stuff is to watch for trends and extremes, these are good for that. All the strips are well cut (unlike some other brands where you might get a bunch of half strips) with a good distance between test pads.

The App is a nice albeit very simple method of following trends and was one reason for buying this product. It is very easy to input Indicator strip values into the App and each test has it's own trend graph as a function of time. This leads me to the the issue I have with the App and it is in regards to its color scale versus the color scale shown on the Indicator Strip Bottle. The App does show a similar color scale for most tests but there are a few that are far less intuitive. My issues with the App are as follows:

1. The App shows 7 color variations for each test whereas the Bottle shows a maximum of 6. Some tests (3) have only 5 variations on the bottle.

2. The App does not show relative numerical values for each color variation whereas the Bottle does. Showing relative values in the App would allow one to more accurately translate Bottle values to App values.

3. One test on the App "General Hardness" has an entirely different color variation than does the Bottle. The App goes from a dark green to brown to a darkish red (7 variations). The Bottle goes from a light blue to a dark purple (5 variations).

4. Finally, why not Block-out acceptable ranges for each test on the App as is done on the Bottle?

Ultimately, the Indicator Strips do what I need them to do and they are a much better value than what I can do at any local shop. The App however is a bit of a disappointment. I'm not sure why one offer an App that is designed specifically for a specific product doesn't match the basics across the two platforms they are trying bridge. That is, Bottle to App.

I’m a worrying person and these are perfect for quick checks throughout the week. No they are not as accurate as API test kit, but they can definitely let you know if something is seriously off.
I looked at a lot of different types of these and found these and the Tetra strips to be the best overall rated. Tetra strips are more expensive though.
I have had no quality issues and only a few issues with figuring out what color it was closer too. I found making sure you have a good bright light above is very helpful.
I will continue to use these throughout the week until the give me a reason not to.

While this test strip has a lot of elements, it does not include ammonia, which is essential for maintaining fish health. All of these 9 in one or whatever in one test strips should include this because your fish could die… this was the main thing I wanted to test for as a beginner to aquariums and it didn’t include it… brought a sample to the pet store yesterday and ammonia was the only thing slightly off. I have one fish smaller than the others looking like she is dying with labored breathing and have a young child that loves her fishies. There is no debris on the rocks. I change the water regularly and have a filter… I’m kind of upset that ammonia isn’t in the test strip for an aquarium. It seems so basic! That was the biggest thing I wanted to test for. I was waiting on these test strips to come rather than go to the pet store again to test for ammonia after a long day at work. They are closed now. My bad in not scrutinizing what was included in the test strip. I just thought it was something so basic and regularly checked for while looking for same day/overnight shipment to check my aquarium water and not need a fishy funeral for my young child. 😢

Es la primera vez que uso tiras para controlar el agua de mi acuario. Vi muchos productos y muchas reseñas de ellos. Me echaba para atrás que en muchas de esas reseñas decía que no servía. Y es muy sencillo usarlas:
introduces con 2 dedos y una sola mano la tira por la parte donde es mas ancha ( la tira tiene 6 "almohadillas" que son los sensores pegados a ella, si tuviese 7 entonces yo no diría que cogieses la parte mas ancha de la tira, como falta 1 pues es la parte mas ancha) la introduces en el acuario llegando a tocar con los dedos el agua DURANTE 2 segundos, RETIRAS la tira y la sacudes como si fuese un abanico para que desprenda las gotas en exceso que puede tener durante 10 segundos. Puedes dejarla con los sensores hacia arriba y ESPERAR SOLO 30 SEGUNDOS. Coges la tira, el envase y lo pones (o presentas) en los cuadraditos que trae, comparas 1 x 1 los sensores con los colores que ha tomado y listo. Lo bueno de este artículo es que tiene una página en PDF. La descargas, buscas un traductor de PDF online (los hay gratuitos) y lo traduces a tu idioma. También puedes seleccionar todo el texto del pdf y pasarlo por un traductor. Esas páginas que digo ya traducen el texto y pone bastante bien las imágenes

Not sure if it is accurate. I’ve use test strip from other brand together with the old fashioned drop test kit. The nitrate reading is either far off or the colour difference is so shuttle that I cannot tell them a part. Definitely won't buy again.
