I LOVE the Coolibar Umbrella's. I have 2 of the smaller travel size and one of the Golf size ones which I love because it stands up to high winds really well. I was thrilled when they came out with this big size, but was a little bummed by the bottom of the umbrella, as it wouldn't fit into my umbrella stand as the other reviews stated. The end they have on it might work in soft sand, but I would never be able to get it into my hard ground.
I found an easy fix. I took an old pair of wire cutters and slowly snipped off the spiral edges. It took about 5 minutes because it's a fairly soft plastic. I didn't do it neatly and there is a rough edge, but it now fits perfectly into my umbrella stand. :-) Don't let the end stop you from buying this FANTASTIC umbrella. It really drops the heat about 10 to 15 degrees when you are standing under it, unlike normal umbrellas which can sometimes hold in the heat. It hold up really well as I've sunk it in the lake a time or two and was able to rescue it with absolutely no damage.
