Just got another one as a spare. Good, sturdy single wall bottle. The lid doesn't leak, which is what really matters and stands up to the abuse we put them through. Throw a cheap stainless cup from the camping junk at Wally world in your pack with it as a nesting cup and grab a fish mouth spreader from the fishing aisle and you're all set for cooking and boiling water out in the wild. It works great and it's cheap. If you feel the need for something "better" than this, waste your cash on a titanium set.

This is a great versatile water bottle. It is NOT meant to keep your water super cold or hot for long periods of time. It is UNINSULATED for a reason. It can be used to transport water and boil it in your fire to make any water source drinkable. Of course you must remove the top cover to do this. Very durable with many uses and a great size.

It's the perfect size for a hour or two walk, or sharing with a friend, refilling another water bottle, etc. We use it on road trips, through the day at work, or any other time we think we may need some extra on a trip to the zoo or something like that. It's simple and durable. I think double-walled bottles just waste extra space you could carry fluid with. The 64 is huge and bulky full, the 27 isn't enough, I like the 40. My only complaint is the lack of an available gulp lid and threads that are not confidence inspiring, meaning they do lock securely but to make it more convenient to open and close there isn't a lot of pitch grabbing on the threads, seems like less than half a turn, so I'm hesitant to use any other brand lid that may not fit correctly. Still my favorite bottle at the moment.

I’m just happy I was able to finally find a single walled water bottle that isn’t 750 mL or a liter and a half. Obviously, with it being single wall the beverage inside won’t retain its temperature as long but it’s hearty and durable and although I normally prefer a thin mouth opening the wide mouth is not a bother.

I had to replace a smaller klean kanteen water bottle that fell out of my backpack near the top of Mt Marathon in Seward AK (I hope someone found it and was able to put it to good use). This water bottle is great. I really like the size. It’s not too big that it is a pain to carry, but it is plenty big enough to last awhile without refilling. I like that the water bottle is uninsulated, so I can use it to boil water if I am ever in a survival situation. I wish the lid was also stainless steel, but other than that this water bottle is perfect for me.

I love this bottle. Only thing is if I do not screw the cap on REALLY tight it will leak quite a bit. Learned the hard way but now that I know it is awesome. If your bottle gets smelly, just add a teaspoon or two of Apple Cider Vinegar to a full bottle and drink it all throughout the day. By the next fill the smell will equalize after a good rinse.

Are you are looking for a bottle that holds temperature, doesn't dent easily and will have to be replaced in afew years? If so look elsewhere.
This bottle is the perfect multi use bottle especially for camping.
I have had it now for just over a year and I am very happy with it. I bought it specifically because it was single wall and its hard to find a good quality stainless steel single wall waterbottle. Mine does by no means look new anymore, I dropped it afew times and had to pound some dents out of it but i got it back to its original shape. It is still fully functional and does not leak at all.
Another great thing about it, it is just stainless steel and it is single wall is if I am camping with it and need to boil water I don't have to worry about the bottle exploding (vacuum sealed bottles will explode if heated, you just have to take the lid off as it will melt).
Pros
- It is single wall so you can heat or boil water in it if you have to.
- Its Stainless steel inside and out so you don't have to worry about tastes or smells staying after you clean it.
- If it dents you can just bang the dents back out and it's good as new.
- The opening is big enough so you can fill it with water from a lake or river and drink it through a filtering straw.

Cons
- It dents easily, but what do you expect? It is a bottle made from 18 gauge stainless steel. You can easily bang the dents out and its good as new.
- It doesn't keep temperature. If you want it to hold temperature get a vacuum sealed water bottle.
- Can't hold hot liquid because the bottle will get hot. Again if you need a bottle for coffee or hot liquid this bottle is not for you.

Summery: If you are looking for a good quality single wall waterbottle, this is the one for you.
