I wasn’t sure I wanted to read a story about a cheating husband, but I love all of Delaney Diamond’s books, so I was willing to give it a try.
I am so glad that I did! This was a great story showing the relationship between Terrence and Charisse. From the beginning of their marriage, to his unfaithfulness, to Charisse finally having enough and ending the marriage. The fact that they still loved each other was apparent. Terrence showed his love and support for their children and took care of all the household needs.
Seeing Terrence’s growth throughout the story and his realization that he just wanted Charisse to know that he truly understood what he had put her through and what he had and lost was very emotional.
I was looking forward to the HEA and felt it was a great ending to a very good book!

After reading the first book in the Quicksand series I had to read this one. T-murder was mentioned in that story and once I found out he was the topic of the second book I quickly followed with this one. This is the first second chance story I've read and to my surprise I am a fan. I appreciated the character development of Terrance coming to admit he was wrong and took his wife for granted. I also appreciated Cherrise's ability to back off and give him the space to come to that conclusion on his own. This was a short but enjoyable read.

Many men have let power and fame go to their heads which resulted in many problems in their private lives. This book gave a close-up look at the dynamics involved. Heartbreak, distrust, hate, etc, are all present and forefront but LOVE remained on top. This story could be anyone of our stories and I really liked how Ms. Diamond jumped right into the story. Very well written!! I also enjoyed Book 1 in this series and look forward to Book 3.

As usual Delaney Diamond delivered another excellent book dealing with an excellent topic that is very relevant in today's society - this one dealing with INFIDELITY and she did a very fantastic job at it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from the begining until the end. I loved every aspect of this book. It was mind blowingly intensed at times and had me at the edge of my seat with all the drama. Terrance was indeed a very broken man who wanted to right his wrong doings. I love a happy ending and I was so happy to see him get a second chance at love and get his HEA despite all of his and Charisse tumultous relationship.
Congrats Delaney on this amazing page turner.
I whole heartedly recommend this book to romantic fans and look forward to reading the next book in this series.

I feel a book with this plot line needs to be a lot longer than 130 pages. The book picks up five years after they couple has been divorced; a divorce caused by constant infidelity. If the cheating had been a one time mistake, then the happenings of the book would've made more sense. However, he cheated throughout damn near the entirety of their marriage. One small tragedy, and boom, they're back together. I felt like the book was too short to really see a redemption in Terrence. I mean, for nearly half the book they're seeing other people. I just didn't find the reconciliation believable after almost no work put in. No suggestion of marriage counseling, no date nights, no real time put in, no prayers to God, nothing. Just sex and residual love. Charisse did a better job of staying strong than most women I've read and seen in this same predicament, but in the end, she folded fairly easily and because of a song. A song! Personally, I feel like like when there is a story involving infidelity, especially one of this scale, we need to be able to root for the couple. That includes showing me how/why they fell in love in the first place, acts redemption from the cheater, and time and work put in from the couple. This book was too short to do any of that which made it impossible for me to believe that Terrence had changed and deserved another chance at married life. I love a short story, but this plot line requires more time.

I'm giving it 3 stars because it was written well, I love the author, and I feel like if it was fleshed out about 50-60 pages more, it would've been a knock-out story. Sadly, this happens all too often in real life, especially in when the husband is a celebrity. The women knows he's cheating and they take him back time and again. While it's true to real life, I want a little more substance and fight in a romance novel.

What makes Mrs Diamond's writing so great is that she is not afraid to be raw, to give you a complex but rich love story grounded in reality. The charaters felt real to me and so did their combined passion and intense love for each other. The story was so relatable as we all live in a time of social media and celebrity, where even the most loyal man who loves his wife deeply can still cheat. Ms Diamond has once again done an excellent job. She is tbe only writer who i have purchased every single book. Worth every penny!!!!! I can't wait for the next release.

I loved it! Great story! Had me intrigued throughout. Even though Terrance cheated, you wanted to forgive him. Call it immaturity or taking for granted what he had and then after it was gone, realising what he'd lost. Charisse had no choice but to give in.
