Product description
The arbor pulldown kitchen faucet with motion sense provides the convenience of having a kitchen faucet that can literally sense what you're trying to accomplish and respond to what you need, the moment you need it. That's because motion sense activates flow based on simple hand movements. This convenient, hands-free control assists in accomplishing routine tasks with greater speed and efficiency. Motion sense delivers convenience on command. Always turn water supply off before removing existing faucet or disassembling the valve. Please note that when using the ac adapter with this item, we recommend plugging it into an outlet that is not controlled by an on/off switch. If the ac adapter is plugged into the wall outlet designated for a garbage disposal, oftentimes that outlet is controlled by a switch, thereby not allowing the motion sense faucet to function when the switch is in the off position.

The first thing that caught my eye was the faucet's sleek and modern design. The chrome finish adds a touch of sophistication, seamlessly blending with the overall aesthetic of my kitchen. The high arc and clean lines give it a contemporary look that instantly elevates the entire space.
The Motionsense Wave Touchless technology is a game-changer. The hands-free operation allows for easy and hygienic use, perfect for busy kitchen moments when hands are full or dirty. The wave sensor is incredibly responsive, providing a seamless and convenient experience every time. It's not just a stylish addition; it's a functional upgrade that has made kitchen tasks more efficient.
The convenience of the pulldown feature is noteworthy. The retractable hose with an extended reach makes washing dishes and filling pots a breeze. The Reflex system ensures smooth and easy maneuverability, allowing me to navigate the sink effortlessly.
The pricing of the Moen Arbor Chrome Motionsense Wave Touchless Faucet is reasonable for the quality and features it offers. Considering the stylish design, touchless technology, and overall convenience, it represents excellent value for money. The durability of Moen products adds an extra layer of confidence in the investment.
Installation was surprisingly straightforward, even for someone with limited plumbing experience. The clear instructions and thoughtful design made the process smooth and efficient, allowing me to enjoy the benefits of the faucet without any hassle.
In conclusion, the Moen Arbor Chrome Motionsense Wave Touchless One-Handle Pulldown Kitchen Faucet has exceeded my expectations. It's a stylish, convenient, and reasonably priced solution that enhances both the form and function of my kitchen. If you're looking for a faucet that combines style and technology seamlessly, the Moen Arbor is a perfect choice.
5/5 stars – A perfect blend of style, price, and convenience for the modern kitchen!
It is very easy to install, looks great, and works great! The reflex works wonderfully. If you need the pull out extension to be short for a single basin sink or long for a deep well double basin sink, it works either way. You decide how long you want it to be. The faucet comes with a weight that you simply clip on the pull out hose under the sink, which determines how far you can pull the faucet out and how far back it reflexes. The only caution I have for you on this is that if your sink plumbing is a mess, like mine, the hose and weight will hang up on it. If you don't fix it, this will render the faucet extension useless. There is an easy fix though! We simply used an old piece of cheap poster board and some painters tape to make a channel along the back wall of the sink cabinet for the weighted hose to slide up and down. By containing it in the makeshift channel, it can't hang up on the other plumbing and it works amazingly.
My only other caution is for people who are replacing a 3 hole faucet. This faucet is much shorter than the old faucets were. There is only 3-1/2 to 4" total length on either side from the center hole on the trim kit. So, you can easily change your plumbing set up for a single hole installation, but the trim kit may not cover your old holes. We just used the single hole faucet assembly (without the trim kit). We put it in the hole that was best for reaching both sink basins and then bought 2 cheap 2 inch hole cover blanks to cover the old holes. You can spend $20 or more each for hole cover to match the faucet, but we just used cheap plastic hole covers and it looks fine.
We installed one of these for my mom over a year ago. It is still looks and works like new! It was so nice, that when our old faucet crapped out a few months ago, we decided to get this one, too! And as an added bonus, it was actually $50 cheaper than the non-reflex (pull out) version. And it's Moen, so it has a lifetime warranty! Highly recommend!
Yup, I'm female, have no training as a plumber, and am no spring chicken but I had zero problem installing this faucet. The instructions were clear and concise. It took 4.5 hours to remove the old faucet because of an unusual connector for which I could find no videos or even pictures online. (Many Words of Power were said, and I got a black eye from dropping the huge crescent wrench on my brow during the operation.) I had to yank the whole sink to see how to disconnect the faucet. However, it only took about 30 minutes to install the new one – including the time to gather tools and to read each step again as I proceeded. It was very straightforward and easy peasey.
I waited to review this faucet because of the previous reviews complaining about leaks, stuck buttons, excessive splashing, etc. I took a chance and ordered one anyway, and I am very glad I did.
* I have had zero leaks. I'm not a plumber, but I am pretty handy and can read (and follow) instructions. My faucet does not leak. Period.
* Someone commented that their Power Boost button sticks. Once I engage mine, it stays "on" until I shut off the water. As soon as the water is cut, the Power Boost button cheerfully pops up again. This seems like a feature rather than a problem, but that's just my opinion as I have seen no documentation on the subject.
* Someone complained about water splashing more than usual with this faucet. On mine, the steady aerated stream only splashes if I turn on the Power Boost and put the "pulldown wand" extremely close to the object I'm watering. In other words, I have to work at making it splash. If, however, I am using the spray mode, especially in Power Boost mode, the water can splash, but every faucet I've ever used seemed to have the propensity to splash in spray mode. Anyway, I personally haven't found splashing to be an issue with this faucet.
* I really like the Spot Resist Stainless matte finish. It is indeed spot resistant.
* I love the goose neck. I can easily fill my ginormous pressure cooker IN the sink. I couldn't do that with my old faucet.
* I love the replaceable cartridge in the handle. I bought this style because of the design failure in the previous faucet; it wasn't repairable.
* I love the Lifetime Limited Warranty.
* I love how beautiful AND functional it is.
DELTA/MOEN: 1st Moen. Always had Delta throughout home. Originally intended to buy Delta until deciding to upgrade to touchless. Chose Moen for the Motion Wave Sensor not requiring touch w/ dirty hand (hand has to touch the Delta's Touch which defeats purpose) and I imagined the Delta's Touch to accidentally turn water on when moving/wiping faucet. Moen's Limited Lifetime Warranty a definite plus. Finalized decision when read Plumber's review saying due to difference in design, Delta tends to leak underneath sink (which is why needed new faucet) whereas Moren tends to leak around faucet base/handle which causes less potential damage b/c cabinetry not involved.
PRICE/DELIVERY: As usual, can't go wrong w/ Amazon's competitive price, good return policy and fast delivery. Same faucet priced much higher at box store. (Admittedly I have growing concerns re: Amazon's decreasing quality control, i.e., sending used items, allowing knock offs, etc.). For days I searched multiple websites, read tons of reviews, and verified Amazon is an authorized seller before ordering. Faucet was packaged well, next day delivered (Wow!), and all items appeared new.
FEATURES: Chose side sensor to avoid turning water on accidentally which I imagined would drive me crazy w/ the 2 sensors model. I was concerned same would happen when drying around base of this faucet, next to sensor, however, hand is actually below sensor, so it doesn't activate, and as long as wrist/forearm is out of sensor range it doesn't turn on. I thought to prevent triggering sensor I would need to remove items on left side of faucet, but it hasn't been a problem. Just maintain the recommended distance (our items are ~4 inches from sensor).
INSTALLATION: Many reviews mentioned easy installation. We aren't DIYers, so initially planned for Plumber to do install. After Plumber estimated to charge approximately the same amount as the cost of faucet (What!!!), we decided to do the install ourselves. It was easy but took way longer than others. (3 hrs including prep). Majority of time used removing old faucet. (We took our time to avoid making a mistake so not to need expensive Plumber). *TIPS* Watch several videos on how to install faucet AND how to remove old faucet - Take time to read instructions vs looking at diagram only. Fully read instructions then go back and follow each step - Don't skip steps; may cause miscalibration of data box/sensor - I followed reviewer's suggestion to use pillow, blanket to pad under sink for comfort (also used garden knee pad). Boy, this was helpful! - Wear protective eyewear. Water would've dripped directly into my eye had I not had eye protection - Attach water hoses in loop/spiral pattern (not kinked) for good water flow - Place battery case as close to cabinet door as possible so not have to crawl under sink to replace batteries. Having to crawl under sink to exchange battery was a repeated complaint leading ppl to buy an adapter or to not like faucet. - Another review suggested position battery case upside down. (Case will then open from top vs bottom). Prevents need to squat/kneel to open case.; very helpful - Best to have 2 people, one to stabilize faucet while other tightens nut under sink. If no 2nd person may try taping faucet base to sink/countertop to hold it in place until tightened; place towel around faucet to prevent damage if it falls over - Place towel in sink to prevent things falling into drain/damaging sink - I read, or learned from a video, to make sure nothing is setting or person/pet moving in the activation range (think its 8 inches) of sensor when battery cable is plugged into data box (and for a few seconds after); could cause sensor miscalibration, e.g., cause water to turn on/off by itself, etc..
USE/PROS/CONS: 1. Chose oil rubbed bronze although concerned re: reviews stating color not uniformed. Our spout is slightly lighter shade than rest of faucet; perhaps because it's made of a different, less weighted, material (assuming to enable docking) than the rest of (metal) faucet. Don't think I'd noticed difference had I not been looking for it due to reviews. Doesn't bother me, and husband hasn't noticed/mentioned it. 2. Spray control button doesn't feel solid but works well. 3. Pull Down Hose could be little longer but is sufficient and probably better to not be longer to avoid taking up more room/rubbing items under sink. 4. If water is on, Pull Down Hose slowly recedes & needs a nudge to dock. If water is off, hose retracts quickly & fully docks. 5. No problems w/ water pressure/flow/temp. 1-2 drops of water after shut off but doesn't "drip" (Went from 1.8 Delta to 1.5 gpm. Have tankless water heater. Not many reviews mentioned tank type which is something I was interested in knowing pre-purchase). 6. Takes getting use to; Handle has different feel (guess b/c its electronic). A little tricky adjusting flow to trickle. 7. Power Clean Spray, hose flexibility and sensor are great! (Loving it!). 8. *Biggest Con & Reason for Minus Star*- Not able to drip faucet during freezing weather. Bummer! Thought so long as faucet had power, via battery or electric, and handle used instead of sensor (sensor has 2 minutes shut off) could drip faucet overnight. Apparently handle also has a shut off time (> 30 minutes. Don't know exact time Only know after running 30 mins, I left it running, returned to find it stopped & handle still in on position. Maybe it's a battery saving/safety feature? I did sense leaving it running for long period/overnight (may) not be good in regard to battery and/or solenoid overuse/burnout). I'm comforted
by no reviews (from those who owned it for yrs) mentioned busted pipes, so I'm hoping for the best.
ADAPTER: I don't plan to use adapter/splitter 1. Per reviews, it seems to cause sensor/controller to not operate well. 2. Moen recommends it not be used in same outlet that operates an on/off switch, such as garbage disposal, as is case w/ our outlet. Apparently, when disposal is off sensor/controller may not work. 3. Since battery case is next to cabinet door, no need to crawl under sink to replace batteries. 4. We purchase batteries wholesale. 5. Hopefully batteries will last the advertised year, so smaller environmental imprint (though many said they lasted weeks/months not year; We'll see.). 6. Batteries eliminate power outage worry. 7. Less clutter/wires/space taken under sink. 8. Appears faucet may have been designed (more) specific for battery use; many noted it works optimally w/ battery vs electric (performance difference w/ 9V battery vs 12V adapter)
FAUCET LOOKS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! (Hope it has the lasting quality of our Delta. We'll see.)
UPDATE 11/21/2023: Batteries did last a year (plus) and very glad mounted case upside down near door! Had winter storm, but no frozen pipes (open cabinet doors to warm pipes). Have had no problems. STILL LOVING IT!
