A tough tent that stands with in heavy rain and wind.
5 Stars
A tough tent that stands with in heavy rain and wind.
I bought this tent mainly for exchanging at a surfing site. I tried the instant tent for the same purpose before, as I thought that since I am not doing real camping, I would want something easier to set up and easier to remove. Also in many surfing sites, tents are technically not allowed. But I soon realized the problem of instant tents for suring purposes – they can’t really stand in strong wind, something that is very common for perfect surfing places. So that’s why I switched to this heavy duty exchanging tent. So compared to instant tents, the pros and cons of this tent are very obvious. Pros: very solid and tough, easily stands in the strong wind from the sea. The solid frame also makes it easier to stand on the sand beach. Cons: very heavy, almost the same weight as my four person tent for real camping. And complicated to set up. The whole set up process is almost the same as what it takes to set up an old school camping tent. It takes me 10 minutes to get it done. And it’s safe to say that one would really struggle with it if they have no camping experience before. But both cons are ok for me, since I would always carry this tent in my trunk with my surfing gears, so I don’t really worry about the weight of it. And I am a very experienced camper, so setting up is no big deal for me as well.In general, I would say this tent has very clear pros and cons. If you have a specific need just like me, you won’t be disappointed by the quality of it. But if you just want to find something that just gives you some privacy, and wouldn’t expect to use it in some extreme conditions, I would recommend the instant version of these tents, as weight and difficulty to set up would be the top concerns then.

We took my daughter on her first camping trip and wanted her to have some privacy if she had to use the restroom and this worked perfectly. It sets up in seconds and Is lightweight. We love this privacy tent. It was quick & easy to set up, and was easy to assemble. It was wonderful to be able to wash off at the end of the day, and great to have the extra space to change in. Easy to set up but definitely practice folding it. Follow the instructions and it will be easy!
If you like to camp, this tent is worth every cent. Awesome !! Would definitely recommend!

Bought this to use in backyard for showering while our bathroom was undergoing remodel. Provided privacy. Also purchased a pump with shower handle. Easy setup, in fact stand back and toss it away from you as it opens it has a hefty pop to it. The side windows perfect for placing the pump through it and pockets to hold light weight items like travel size shampoo. Folding it back to fit in its flat case not easy, however there are a few u-tube videos. Just search “how to close a portable camping shower”. I got it after 4 attempts.

It's an easy set up between two short people. However we found that putting the top poles in the sleeves makes it nearly imposible to attach the bottom poles to the pins without feeling like the tent is going to tear. The only way to not have to put to much force into setting the pins at the bottom was to not to the top poles through the sleeves. When counting the pieces we only received 7 out 8 metal pegs. Also the poles were a bit scratched up. Will be returning this item

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I really love outhouse/shower/dressing room, it is a must-have for anyone who is married &/or has a daughter. It's great for late nights at the camp site, dry campers, or Boon dockers! Please realize that this is only the stall, the shower and/or toilet do not come with it!
I was very impressed with the thickness of the fabric, as well as the build quality of the poles. The first time putting this up, it's a hassle because the directions are not nearly as clear as they could be. There is a hook for a light or shower bag at the very top, depending on what you are using this for. There are rods for hanging towels or toilet paper, and there is also a hook for hanging a shower hose.
There is a waterproof storage bag on the back wall for your phone or anything else that you want to keep dry. The material is not only thick but is also waterproof and UV protected. The material is not see through, so no one sees your shadow when showering. There is net ventilation at the top, but there's also a rain flap that can be put on if it rains.
It has a Do Not Disturb sign that can be shown on the outside for privacy. Many people use this for portable toilets or dressing rooms, as well as for showers. There are windows that you can unzip for ventilation when it's not in use. The floor of the shower can be removed without any problem.
I plan on using this when I go camping and for emergencies when the water and/or electricity are off. It is one of those items that you won't use all the time, but when you need it you would want to have one.
My only criticism is that the directions do not adequately show you how to put this up. You have to really look at the pictures and guess how it would go together. A video or more detailed directions would have been very helpful.
We initially tried to put this up in the living room just to look at it, but didn't realize how tall it was so we weren't able to! Other than having to figure out how to put it together, I would recommend this tent.

I should have taken a picture before I broke it down and packed it up. The photo provided is not accurate, I cannot explain how that would be but there is a significant step up over the fabric across the door opening,
maybe six inches. We intended to use this as a porta potty tent and don’t want to fall in and out of it! The door design is also ackward, requiring a bit of figgeting with each use. The door should have a wired rim to allow it to maintain form and not have to use the zipper closure with every use. The zipper needs to be a double zipper so you do not have to open the entire arc.
