I plan to get a few additional copies to give to my adult daughters. They were going to borrow mine, but I want to keep mine and provide them their own. Any time I start having doubts, I will just open up my book and read some of the many parts I have underlined & highlighted.
Thank you Kim for sharing in such a beautifully written book.
I read Rebecca Minkoff's book Fearless: The New Rules for Unlocking Creativity, Courage, and Success earlier this year (and loved it, spoiler alert)--Perell's book _Jump_ is in a similar vein, and well worth a read. She writes engagingly, humorously, and frankly about her own struggles and successes in life, parsing out a number of insightful lessons.
No, I am not an entrepreneur (and am finally okay with that, lol). And maybe you're not either. Can non-entrepreneurs learn from this? Absolutely.
The challenge for me at times was to pull back a little bit and let my faith (ultimately, God) guide where the author places the self. "Your truth" (and its related messaging) is always a bit of a troublesome phrase for me in this regard; not that I was surprised to have it show up here, at all--I fully expected it, haha. So, knowing that and being prepared to rework that framework is something for me, at least, to be aware of and ready for.
I particularly enjoyed each chapter's "jump prep" and "jump hacks"--basically a built-in study guide--as well as several questions in Chapters 5-6 that are particularly timely as we approach the start of a new year.
I received an eARC of the book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
All the ideas I learned here can be principles in life to live by. It feels so raw and felt her heart that she truly wanted to make an impact in this world by helping others. Thank you so much Kim, you changed my life too for the better! ❤️
