William J. Borak

About the author

My name is William J. Borak, I am retired and previously worked as a Sr. Manager for the Project Management Office (PMO) at the state of New Jersey, Department of Human Services. Over the years prior to my taking the position with the State, I was an independent Management Consultant for mostly Fortune 100 Companies (Bloomberg Financial, NBC, Pfizer, Merck, Prudential Insurance, Chase Morgan, United Healthcare, etc.) During the course of these engagements I was often tasked with writing numerous white papers, position papers, technical documents, etc. depending on the Client’s needs. I was often complimented by individual C level Executives for whom I was providing the consulting services on the quality or creativity of the documents I produced for them. Subsequently, I have a wealth of experiences to draw from life, family and business. This led me to writing articles, short stories, etc. that I would periodically submit to my local newspapers or various magazines. I have two published small family oriented articles by the Asbury Park Press as I live in Monmouth county New Jersey and one business case chapter in a technology business related text book(Data Management, Barbara von Halle and David Kull, Editors, published by Auerbach Publications, Boston and New York). Unfortunately, about 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease, however, despite some new physical and mental challenges and difficult days, I was able to buckle down during the Pandemic and listening to some of my favorite music which is always soothing; I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and publish this thrilling novella.
