UPDATE months later: Saved my hair
UPDATE: (The leakage is real with these products. The last bottle came with product sticking to the side of the package...) I have to apologize to the brand. I didn't appreciate this product until recently when I stripped my hair while trying to remove a bad dye job. I washed my hair over and over with some clarifying shampoo. It toned down the dye but left my hair feeling like straw that had been drying in the sun. It looked harsh and dry also. I tried using oils and hair lotions just to calm down the worst of the damage - at least so I could comb my hair without causing more harm. No good. Everything just coated my hair but did not seem to absorb and they certainly didn't hydrate. I remembered that I had this bottle in the bathroom, I had diluted it about half and half with purified water months before. I gave it a try anyway. Since I didn't dare try combing my fragile hair, I just applied this watered-down Honey Hydrate. There was an IMMEDIATE difference. The product actually softened my hair and added much-needed moisture. The moisture didn't evaporate overnight. I spent the next couple of days applying a little bit every morning. I will need to trim some of the ends that I damaged by stripping but my hair feels restored. This was such an amazing turnaround that I am going to buy more of this product to keep around just for when I need deep and intense moisturizing in the future.I know that everyone's hair is different so... mine is 4C and very dry. This is what my experience was:This stuff looks EXACTLY like amber-colored honey. When you hold it up to the light, it looks even more like honey because of the tiny bubbles and what looks like sugar granules. I've heard other reviewers describe the smell as "nothing", slightly sweet, and "just like honey". Out of the bottle, I think it smells faintly of honey and amber with the tiniest hit of... chocolate??? Once I put this on my wet hair, the smell amplified. A nice smell and sweeter than out of the bottle. As far as the texture, I also saw where other reviewers said that this felt just like honey - very sticky and unpleasant to the touch. Maybe I got a different batch but I don't find this to be sticky at all. You can see from the photo what it looks like just smoothed across my palm and the back of my hand. I can tell you one thing: it warms up quite a lot when you rub it between your palms. Before I did my whole head, I tried applying this to some strands of my hair. The first thing I noticed is that it brings out the curl pattern when the hair is wet but as it dried, it was frizzier. Second, it seems to have an elongating effect. The hair was *not* stickyWhen I applied this to my entire head, I deviated a tiny bit from the instructions which are to apply to conditioned hair. I use a hydra steam leave-in system so I applied that first, then applied the Honey Leave-In.I applied this to my hair in sections and noticed a slightly sealing/elastic kind of feel left on the hair. As if the Honey's coating was really noticeable. It's not unpleasant. As a matter of fact, I like that my hair seemed to now have a protective and sealing barrier on it.I was spraying my hair to keep it from drying out as I applied the Leave-In. At the finish, my twists - which are normally only damp at this point - were dripping wet still. I take that as a good sign. I ended up not using a lot of the product. See photo. The results?I like the smell and the softening effect but I didn't like the effect it had on my curl definition. There was definition but only for a few hours. This softened my hair so much that my hair was more "poofy" than curly.I will finish the bottle but probably won't buy more. It's too expensive for the results I got. This seems like it would be really good for some hair (or styling) types.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leaves my hair so soft and moisturized
Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2024
I absolutely love this conditioner!!! It’s a must have in my hair regimen. I have naturally curly hair and sometimes my hair feels so dry and brittle. After I wash my hair I use this conditioner and style as usual. Now I’m hooked. Look at my curls!

I know that everyone's hair is different so... mine is 4C and very dry. This is what my experience was:

This stuff looks EXACTLY like amber-colored honey. The results?
I like the smell and the softening effect but I didn't like the effect it had on my curl definition. There was definition but only for a few hours. This softened my hair so much that my hair was more "poofy" than curly.

I will finish the bottle but probably won't buy more. It's too expensive for the results I got. This seems like it would be really good for some hair (or styling) types.
