This is such a great little baby sled. We got it so our daughter, who has down syndrome, could participate in winter walks without needing to be jostled around in her stroller. As older infants our other kids could easily have sat in it but for her we we attach a special tomato brand floor sitter seat (just the seat part). It fits great and attaches securely. She gets to glide along the snow smoothly and safely and even ‘go sledding’ down tiny snow mounds with her siblings.
The quality of the sled is very good. It’s well made with attention to detail. I do wish the rope handle was a nice cotton rather than the included synthetic but it’s easy enough to swap it out. For a typical child I’d say the age range is a couple months after they can first sit independently to around three years old, depending on height and weight. I would not use it for true downhill sledding, I don’t feel it would be safe for that, but I think it’s more of a pull along sled/sleigh.
