Came looking like a HS Textbook

Came looking like a HS Textbook
This book came looking like a high school textbook that had seen some things from the 70s. I could handle the crack on the back, but the ripped binding and pages falling out, I could not. For the money spent I had to get a refund. This book belongs on the burn pile. Unacceptable and I’m not picky.

This is indeed a large book, 800 pages, plan on placing the book on a desk or table while you read. There are pictures throughout that are tied to the current reading. I started out with an interest in WW2 materiel and of course that led to the holocaust. The book so far seems to be all you will ever need to learn about this awful period in human history. After reading some of the book I just sit back and thanked God that the allies won the war. Its hard to see how another world War could come about if the world leaders learn from this one. Albert Einstein said he didn't know how the third world war would be fought but the fourth would be fought with clubs and stones. Getting back to the book, the pages are slick with large founts making for easy reading, there is a time line down at the bottom that gives the date of important events as you read, This book has so much information that it will requiring studying, not just reading so take your time and absorb the material. I highly respect the publishers for printing this great book on a not for profit basis.

I bought this book in hopes of it getting my brother back from the alt-right pipeline or at least getting him to stop being so antisemitic. It didn't but it's not for a lack of trying. this book has stunning photos that leave a mark on you and gives the reminder that we can't allow this to ever happen again. Highly recommend it.

I love this huge book. It’s like walking through the entire National Holocaust Museum. I have visited Auchwitz and Birkenau. To see the details of what actually happened and to see the pictures, read the stories are all very emotional. Great history that every school should have in their library and classes.

The Holocaust Chronicle is ideal for anyone interested in seeing the progression, in concise, easy-to-follow terms, of a war within a war - the murder of millions of people deemed enemies of the Nazi state. This book does not dwell upon the horrors of the concentration camps and the twisted minds of those Nazis who planned, executed and relished in the murder and torture of human beings. For that kind of information, it is necessary to find other resources such as the works of Primo Levi, Jean Amery or to watch the newly released DVD on Auschwitz. However, it is clear from this book that the Nazi regime was not only about the systematic murder of the Jewish people, but also the effects of depraved thinking and out of control hate that led to the murder of Russians, Poles, monks, priests, political moderates, humanists, resistance fighters from every nation, communists, etc. as well as to the destruction of lifestyles and economies of all of Europe. For a more indepth study of the Jewish persecution, the reader is advised to purchase a copy of Raul Hilberg's Destruction of the European Jews: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0841909105/qid=1120757598/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_ur_1/103-3980022-7931041?v=glance&s=books&n=507846.

You want a complete history of the Holocaust? Then buy this book. It's big, at almost 800 pages. But, I honestly haven't found a more comprehensive retelling of the Holocaust than this book. And I've read plenty. The level of detail is impressive. This book should be used in schools. A teaching tool, if you will.

Pretty much everything you want to know about the holocaust is in this book. Good quality paper used in this book with no rub off of ink. Plenty of pictures which is a great knowledge addition. Book is quite heavy as it has plenty of information. Very much enjoyed reading it. Well worth buying!
