Robert, (Sober Bob) is a certified recovery coach and a retired nurse with tons of experience in rehab facilities, mental health treatment, and at some of America’s most brutal state prisons. He has been in recovery since December, 1989. Robert created and hosts the popular "Real Sobriety Podcast" and is Producer/Co-Host of the "Into the Planet Podcast” with his wife, the renowned underwater explorer Jill Heinerth. Robert created The Real Sobriety Podcast in 2015 as an additional resource to accompany the award-winning Real Sobriety film. There are over 200 episodes available on Apple iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, and most other major podcast platforms. Robert is the author of "Leaving Trump's America," about moving from the U.S. to Canada. Robert’s most recent book is “Sober Bob’s Bathroom Book” Advice to help you stay sober. His unique social perspective was formed on the working-class streets of Philadelphia, where sometimes, the most effective charitable act included an educational punch in the nose. Although retired from nursing, he keeps his skills sharp through treating his adventurous wife’s scrapes, bruises, and contusions. Avid cyclists, Robert and Jill rode over 7000 km across Canada to search for their perfect home.
