• Session One: Everyone Has a Story To Tell—In the introductory session, Teresa lays the groundwork for this tender and essential study. She shares her own story of sexual brokenness and the freedom from shame she has experienced through friendship with the women featured in Graced.
• Session Two: The Definition of a Woman—Teresa explores the meaning of the Hebrew words ezer kenegdo (helper fit). And Tamar shows us what it means for a woman to be a warrior, fighting for the kingdom of God.
• Session Three: Shame Off You—The story of Rahab provides hope and freedom for those struggling under the heavy weight of shame. Where does shame originate? Why is it so pervasive? And how do we break free from it?
• Session Four: Forgive & Remember—Sexual violation causes deep wounds and ugly scars. If we choose to nurse those wounds without the healing work of forgiveness, we will hurt ourselves and those around us. But what is it, and how do we practice forgiveness? Drawing from the story of Bathsheba, Teresa teaches what forgiveness is and what it is not.
• Session Five: Come Thirsty—The woman at the well holds out her empty cup, hoping someone will fill her. And then Jesus comes, and He overflows her empty heart with Himself—pure, refreshing, living water. Teresa helps us consider where we are looking for soul satisfaction.
• Session Six: Where Mercy and Justice Meet—In the story of the woman caught in adultery, waves of grace and truth flow from Jesus onto a sexually broken woman. His grace spares her life and sets her free from shame. And His truth frees her from her sinful lifestyle.
• Session Seven: Postures—The story of a sinful woman who anointed Jesus' feet gives us a glimpse into the postures of several characters. The men around the table hold postures of judgment and contempt. Jesus turns toward the woman in a posture of love and grace. And the woman herself demonstrates a posture of uninhibited worship.
