If you're a fan of the Hallmark movie series "The Princess Switch" starring Vanessa Hudgens or if you're just looking for a read that will get you into the Christmas spirit, this book is it. It's a story about two identical twins named Charlie and Cass who switch places after Charlie has an accident on a TV show set and loses her sense of taste and smell. Meanwhile, Cass is dealing with enough problems of her own while running her family's bakery and dealing with a breakup that doesn't seem to want to end, so she and Charlie come to an agreement that for one week, they deal with each other's lives without anyone finding out. But what happens when a gorgeous physician assistant named Miguel Rodriquez and charming firefighter Jake Greenman come into the picture? The twins come to realize switching places is not as easy as it looks. Will the girls manage to get their lives back on track or is it just a recipe for disaster? At first this book started off a little slow for me and I was close to putting it down but I told myself to keep going with it and I'm glad it did because this book gave me all the holiday feels. Very sweet read!!!

This was a cute if unexciting read. I liked the small town setting & the history with the family bakery - it made me want to visit! However, the whole setup for the story, with the twins swapping lives, was just childish. There was much eye rolling as the story progressed.

There were little gems hidden in the story - Miguel & his family and Jake & Bonnie making me smile whenever they were on page. It’s cute, cheesy & tugs on the heartstrings, but you know it’s going to end in predictable perfection.

It’s a perfect recipe for a cheesy holiday romance!

As a long time Food Network fan, I loved the baking competition aspect of the story and as a bread fan I loved the bakery aspect. The romance wasn’t steamy, but it was definitely cute! The twins aspect wasn’t as funny as I thought it’d be. It got to the point that I was annoyed with how much they’d “slip up” and “forget.” Get it together, ya know?

Overall, a really cute read and perfect for Christmas time. Read if before it inevitably becomes a Netflix movie next holiday season! 😂

What is better than a love story? TWO LOVE STORIES.

Charlie is cohost of a reality cooking show and when she has a minor accident leaving her with a concussion and lacking sense of taste and smell, a big problem for a good judge.

Charlie comes up with a great idea, trade places with her twin sister, Cass. Cass can be the cohost and Charlie can go to their hometown and run the family bakery. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy, right? Of course not 😂

While swapping lives, they both develop feelings for people in their new towns, further complicating things. And of course a few other catastrophes are thrown in.

I thought this was the perfect Hallmark level holiday read, zero 🌶️ on the spice-o-meter, just pure sweet fun.

Awwww, this was the cutest read I have read this whole year. It made me smile and feel mushy inside throughout the whole book.

Charlie had a bump to the head and hence the reason the book was born, Cass is some sister doing what she did for Charlie - it shows the true bond between sisters (identical twin sisters, even!) I thought it was perfectly written.

I fell in love with Miguel and Jake from the start, I was rooting for them both and at points, I found myself shouting at the girls to just come clean!

It had me on the edge of my seat but I loved the whole book, it had a great Christmas feel to it and just had me smiling throughout. I’ve recommended to a few people now and honestly, love, love, love it!

I love a good twin swap story. It gives us non-identical-twins a glimpse into the possibility of being able to switch places with your twin and dog yourself out of a sticky situation. I know some identical twins and I’m pretty sure they’ve never actually done this, but the idea sells doesn’t it? We’ve seen it so many times in so many movies and books - take Erich Kästner’s “Lorrie and Lisa” - which you may know as the movie “The Parent Trap” - one of my favourites.

I was so excited to start this book, and it was the first of my 2021 Christmas reads. I liked the characters and instantly warmed to our main protagonists Cass and Charlie. The story unfolded nicely and I enjoyed reading their romantic entanglements; especially as the swap created an inevitable confusion.

I did feel the story slow about halfway through and had to power through the last half, which was a bit of a trial for me, so I can only give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for that. Had I enjoyed it more and not felt such a stalling in the story I’d have loved to have given it more.
