We absolutely love this. It's super easy to use, and gives just the nicest ambiance to the room. I often light it when the room is a little chilly and I'm surprised how much I can feel the warmth. Even after the fire is out, the concrete stays warm and radiates a bit. Everyone who sees this also wants one, just a great purchase. When you fill it all the way as recommended (an inch from the top) it burns for just under an hour. It's very easy to extinguish- I literally cover the flame with an aluminum cookie sheet for a second and the flame goes right out, do not blow it out. My son put it out once with a ceramic plate, again, one second.
My only other thought is the price point is a little high, there are others on the market for far less. I have not tested those.

Fill to no more than an inch from the top (roughly five ounces) with 70% or 91% isopropyl alcohol.

Flame follows fuel. Any spills that happen when adding fueled must be wiped up before lighting.

How did you come up with the idea for this product?
It all started with the desire for the ambience of a fireplace in my small apartment. My primary mandate was that it run on an inexpensive and readily available fuel. Until FLÎKR Fire's release, there was no indoor fireplace on the market running on isopropyl alcohol. Seven years of tinkering led to a finalized material and design; a welcome reception from family and friends led to dipping a toe into broader sales.
What makes your product special?
Being the first isopropyl alcohol fireplace meant for home decor put FLÎKR Fire on the map. Our innovative use of cement made much of this possible and we continue to push boundaries with our design and use of materials.
What has been the best part of your experience?
Honestly, broader sales were never the goal. I made FLÎKR Fire to provide something my living space lacked. Bringing it into my apartment lent not only a warmth but an active, living thing. When I meet people who get excited seeing it for the first time or tell me how they read a book to it every evening, it brings such joy! That we could make a product that is invited into hundreds of thousands of homes then hear the stories of connection and laughter and beauty that happen around it...that's the most satisfying part of the business.

A solid piece of attention
I received this item in less then 24hrs with prime, just in time to light it for the party. I love the raw aluminum base, the weight of the cylindrical concrete mold is perfect. Follow the instructions and you should have zero problems. I stopped by Walmart bought 32oz of 91% alcohol and it produced an amazing flame. Burning alcohol is clean but still expels a minimal scent that not all will like, my mom let me know how she felt.And now for what I think can be improved:I went to the flikr fire site and read through it, I expected imperfections such as craters, that’s just what concrete does. I expected a minimal roughness to the edges. What I think can be improved is the smoothness, my cylinder has one area that is not consistent to the rest. I may smooth it out myself with fine sandpaper. I know that it’s a small business and I try to support small businesses when I believe in there product. I thought I read that these are hand made, my memory isn’t perfect.Some caution!!! Don’t spill the alcohol in or around the cylinder without thoroughly cleaning it up, it will catch fire, that’s just common sense. The cylinder will be hot to the touch and will take at least an hour before you can touch it safely with your hands, so don’t touch it once it goes out your guaranteed second degree burns if you do.What I wish would be include:The lid from Flikr fire that I see advertised on there direct site and others. I don’t know why it’s not on Amazon. Making this inclusive is a must.Love my new Flikr fire even if it’s meant to be imperfectly unique.
