I have come back twice more to buy this camera so I now have three of them. I'm really happy with the ease with which you can just plug them in and get them up and running. I used to use a program that used old iPads/iPods/iPhones and it was brilliant, but it took time to angle them correctly, test them, and then they would often go offline within a few days.
So, I got my first one of these and was very happy, so bought another one. I have bought a third and would consider potentially buying a fourth, but I've probably got enough for my needs. I feel the picture quality is pretty good, even in night vision mode. I think the ability to zoom in on my recordings and live view is pretty awesome.
However, I still have the issue of devices going offline, which is really, really irritating. There is no way to remotely restart the devices to try to fix them up. What you can do with some difficulty, depending on your household setup, is log into your modem and restart it. This may kickstart the devices to reconnect.
Sometimes one or more go offline for hours. This is a real problem as one day it might be during a crucial time. This is one reason I like having multiple cameras, so I can capture something on at least one of them, as it's not necessarily internet/wi-fi related.
Of course I have an Apple subscription which allows me to use iCloud, which is a necessity. I don't have any other proper HomeKit devices, and the simple way this works is really good. I think notifications could be improved, as it is very easy to miss activity, although you can go back through the recordings. It is a bit painful to save specific recordings, but it is possible.
For a budget system without any additional costs of monitoring, I think this is brilliant. It is not perfect. I only plug these in when I need the security system on, as my husband is spooked by potentially being on camera all the time.
