    I have bought two other blasters not gel blaster brand one of is ok but nothing compares to this one and the gel blaster brand one they are great on everything battery and quality and the speed that they shoot at. Aswell great purchase love it. I like how this lights up at night.

    I have shot a lot of different gel blasters and this one by far is the best. It out performs every other one I have ever shot from its high speed, power, accuracy, and how easy it is to use and setup. The battery life is insane for how many shots you can put through this gel blaster and even has a bright light indicating the battery life. The only knock I have on this gun is that if you are playing at night the light on the gun really does give your position away.

    I ordered the Gel Blaster XL for my son for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It shoots really far. This is one of those toys we will look back on it the future and say " man that was so awesome, I cant believe they actually sold that to kids because its so dangerous". This thing is fun. Its like playing paintball without the mess. It is super dangerous though. I pulled the gun out of the box and I thought I would be funny and shoot my wife in the thigh with this " kids toy". Well I nearly ruined Christmas because the gun came turned up on full power and in fully auto position and when I pulled the trigger for one second It shot four squishy, seemingly harmless, balls directly into my wife's thigh and she immediately started crying. Its days later and she has 4 purple blood welts on her thigh. So I would say 10/10 the kids will love it.

    We got this for my kid for Christmas. It works ok. The glowing feature doesn't really light the pellets all that well but they do glow pretty good if you use a bright UV flashlight on them first. The included ready to fire pellets are awful and just explode out of the gun. We actually thought the gun was defective but tried the dried pellets it comes with and let them moisten. Those worked much better. Tried some aftermarket bulk pellets and those worked really well also. The gun is not accurate at all but it is fun to shoot. My kid likes it.

    As someone who played airsoft in the early 2000s when I came across the gel blaster xls I was very excited. Cheap to shoot, no clean up , no damaged vinyl sides on my parents house like with airsoft haha. They hurt just enough especially under 30ft you will have a small welt on bare skin, hurts enough to make a point not to get hit during a battle. I like the xl surge and xl starfire alot better then the regular surge much more powerful!

    I like that there is a power setting so if kids play we can turn it down and it won’t hurt them or leave a mark. It’s very accurate! One target was about 20 yards away and ducking between some trees and under a trampoline, and this gel gun was able to shoot right through the gab for a hit!
    The glow in the dark gels don’t seem to work for us, so we stick to daytime games.

    I don't have a chronometer, but this thing STINGS! Fully auto isn't as fast as they claim, but fuggin close enough! The glow shots are fun just shooting down the alley. I don't have enough time to describe how great this fun is, but I will tell you it's 1 weakness.. it doesn't like the cold. 35 -45° ... the battery just won't work. It goes from full charge to dead in seconds. Take it inside for 20 minutes and it's good to go.

    Side note: stings and leaves welts just like air soft.
