The book felt like time travelling in parts of history. The author does a good job with sketching out the location and scenery. The characters and momentum in the book make it an interesting read. I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this might appeal more to readers who have an interest in history. There is a lot of action and mystery packed in the book. The characters have the kind of chemistry that the reader can feel through the book. Readers are able to envision whatever is happening in the book because the author describes everything in an accurate yet realistic manner. If you're looking for a weekend read, then go for this!

From the getgo, Time Agents makes a fantastic use of intrigue to suck you into it's world. Jon is an interesting and gruff protagonist who gives you the feeling of this gritty noir-esque investigator.

Though there were some minor issues with the opening, the entire book overall was a blast to read and I hope to see more and better work from Mr. Libraty!

An urgent voyage in time to beloved Casablanca, Morocco. The author’s descriptions and narrative have one believing they are in the character’s presence. Wonderfully crafted characters and settings. Great cover design, nice to hear on audiobook.
Will the invasion be stopped? What is Shoshanna really up to?
I’ll be waiting outside Max’s Place for the next installment…

I was pleasantly surprised with this new to me author. This story has plenty of action as Jon is on a mission to save the world. Set in 1939 Jon is sent to Casablanca from the future. I really enjoyed the characters and I thought the author did a good job of writing with a good flow and an interesting plot. There was romance, action and a satisfying ending. This story more than likely will go on, but it was not left with any cliffhangers. I received this book for free and voluntarily reviewed.

Just finished: The Time Agents: Search for the Leon Key. If you like a pager turner. Dive in. One of the many reasons -- it's an excellent read: real characters, time travel plots (Nazis and I won't give more away), exotic locations, mystery, intrigue ...find the key!!! We'll see what happens next. I'm assuming there's gonna be a sequel. But maybe that's already happened because after reading this -- my mind is open -- maybe it's already happened?

It is the year 2454 and our protagonist Jon undertakes a mission to go travel back in time to Casablanca in Morocco in 1939 and do the needful - stopping an invasion of super-strong, humanoid beings extraterrestrials from another universe.

I thought it was well-written, and the author did a good job of character development.
The ending was also well-constructed and fulfilling. and the story was solid and engaging.

This author, whom I had been unfamiliar with, pleasantly surprised me. Jon is on a mission to rescue the planet, therefore this adventure is packed with action. Jon undertakes a mission in the year 2454 to go to Casablanca in 1939. He is entrusted with halting an invasion of very powerful, extraterrestrial beings. The plot is creative and engaging. I believed the author did a fantastic job of character development, and the writing was strong. The ending was very satisfying and the story was packed with action and a mystery romance. I liked that the book had a solid conclusion because while I expect a sequel the book didn't end with a cliffhanger.

I was looking for a good time travel book, which is how I came across this one. Thankfully, it did not disappoint. If I had to describe it, I would say it's a cross between Quantum Leap, Indiana Jones and Flash Gordon. All great movies on their own. I could see this being a really good TV show. If that happened, I would be all in. Highly recommend. Can't wait for the follow up book!

2.0 out of 5 stars Implausible and unbelievable story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 10, 2023
I am surprised at the very positive reviews this book has received. I am well aware of the effort it takes to write a novel, and am sorry to have to give a negative report, but I can find nothing positive to say about this book. The story is wildly implausible and unbelievable. One man is sent back in time without weapons to stop an invasion of Earth by a more technologically advanced group. He succeeds, admittedly with assistance of one enhanced woman accomplice, mainly by many fist fights while none of the enemy use their advanced weaponry against him.

The writing is also poor and stilted. My feeling is that the author should look at the way other authors write for comparison. One excellent way to do this and simultaneously to get good feedback on his own writing is to join a critiquing group such as Critique Circle, which I can thoroughly recommend.

I cannot in any way recommend this story. I have given it two stars which I think is generous.
