Yes, ALL!!! Great Price, Solid Pressing… Standard Weight Black Vinyl

Yes, ALL!!! Great Price, Solid Pressing… Standard Weight Black Vinyl
The pressing sounds good and I’d consider it a steal for the current price ($11). You can’t go wrong with ALL and although this album is probably my least favorite Chad album… it is still better than 90-95% of the other albums I own. Super catchy, melodic Power Pop Punk. This will be a regular listen for me. Now, if we could only get them to write a new record… I mean, this one is 20+ years old.

It’s such a great fun record. Don’t sleep on it.

The whole album is great from start to finish. Long-time fans seem to prefer their earlier stuff, but the band are at their most mature lyrically on this LP. It's their most consistently strong album. Standout tracks: Better Than That, What Are You For, and Lock 'Em Away.

This is a steal of a price! If you like punk rock you must have this.

ALL never seems to let me down. Everything I've heard from this band has been excellent. These guys are very creative lyrically, being able to talk about serious issues as in "The Skin", one of my personal favorites, but they're also not afraid to throw a ridiculous song or 2 in there as well, like the hilarious "She Broke My Dick". ALL definitely has a staying power as far as creativity goes, even though they aren't a well-known band. They continue to be one of my favorite punk bands of all time. The only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are a couple other albums I enjoy more than this one, such as "Mass Nerder". But definitely not a waste of money at all. So if you like the pop punk sound with an underground edge, these guys are definitely worth trying out.

This a great album with some classic 90s punk.
Reviewed in the United States on September 20, 2012
I became a huge Descendents fan in 1985 when they released I Don't Want to Grow Up. I stuck with them for several years, including when they became All. All's fourth record Allroy Saves was the first time they let me down, and then the follow up album Percolater was so bad that I lost all interest (no pun intended, I swear.) After a few years passed I went back and picked up Breaking Things and Pummel, and my recollection is that I was surprised by how good they were. Then Milo returned once again, they went back to being the Descendents, and they released Everything Sucks... which sucked. With that, I was done with them, once and for all. (Aaahhh! No pun intended!) That was a long time ago. I'm sure I've dug out my old favorites since then, but it's been a good many years.

Well, a few weeks ago I read a new interview with Stephen Egerton (guitarist who joined in 1987 and has been with them ever since) and that sent me digging through my old stuff until I found all of my Descendents/All CDs. After I'd listened to everything, I couldn't stop myself from checking to see what they'd done since I stopped listening, and that led me to All's Mass Nerder and Problematic albums. Before I could stop myself, I ordered them. And now buyer's remorse is kicking in. They aren't the worst albums I've ever heard, but I certainly didn't expect them to be reduced to this low level of generic crap. Once in a while I'll hear a brief glimmer of the classic All sound buried in there somewhere and trying to get out, but a lot of it just sounds like typical 90's Epitaph fodder. I was always well aware of the fact that they inspired that sound, but I never would have guessed that they would actually adopt it themselves. Kinda depressing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Catchy, hectic and precise

Having got into descendents I thought I'd check out the ALL back catalogue. The music is a lot more hectic than that of pop punk counterpart descendents. Not that that's a bad thing, Bill Steve and Karl are in their element on this record and show the levels of their musicianship. Although similar in sound to Milo, Chad price's vocals compliment the music fantastically. Overall a great album, given 4 stars as it just doesn't measure up in comparison to Mass Nerder but still definitely worth purchasing if you're a fan of descendents
