CETAPHIL Sheer Mineral Sunscreen is a lightweight, 100% mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin, designed for daily use on the face and body. Broad spectrum SPF 50 reflects both UVA and UVB rays to help prevent sunburn and decrease the risk of skin cancer and early signs of aging due to sun exposure. The sheer formula was developed with micronized technology to help disperse minerals evenly for easy application, and the non-greasy formula will not clog pores or leave behind a white cast. Formulated with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide to provide broad spectrum sun protection and soothing vitamin E to comfort the skin, this sheer sunscreen locks in lasting hydration to help prevent against the drying effects of the sun. CETAPHIL Sheer Mineral Sunscreen is hypoallergenic, fragrance free and paraben free, and designed to be gentle on even the most sensitive skin. Mineral sunscreens can often leave a white cast when applied as they contain titanium dioxide and zinc oxide which work to prevent sun damage by staying on the skin's surface. I really need a good brand of sunscreen which I think this one is great just not really great blending with my skin. I have sun damage in my hand through gardening so this summer I don’t mine looking a little bit like Casper 🤣 if you mix it with your moisturizer makes it better.

Yes, this leaves a white cast - that's what mineral sunscreens do! If you don't like it, don't use a mineral sunscreen. This is way cheaper than the Cetaphil mineral sunscreen specifically for face, but I don't notice a difference. If you dot small amounts over your face and blend with a sponge, it can minimize the white cast and make it easier to blend. Looks great under makeup, non-greasy, and moisturizing enough that I don't have to layer it on top of a full moisturizer, just my usual morning serum. Highly recommend! Also packs pretty easily into a medium sized purse or beach bag so you can reapply as needed on the go. No pilling under makeup, neutral scent, I love it! Will be buying again when I run out - which might take a while since you get so much for your money!

I find the cream needs a little effort to apply if you have dry skin because you may have to drag (not a lot) to even out the product on your face. I find that the application is smoother when you layer your face with moisturiser first. I know some do not like the white cast but I love it. I like the cast so that I know which are the areas that I may have missed out.

This product is unscented and the ingredients are sensitive skin friendly. However, I purchased this for use as a daily facial sunscreen and it is not suitable for this. It leaves a strong white cast that is very hard to rub in, so it is OK for the beach but not for daily use. The texture is very thick - it feels like rubbing glue on your face, but it is OK once it's on.

I have now switched to a La Roche-Posay sunscreen. It is not mineral based but it does a better job than this one and it doesn't irritate my skin.
