How do you do this? What does this mean? Who are you now? What’s next?
Multiple award-winning author, speaker, and grief specialist Gary Roe experienced multiple, devastating losses in childhood.
Gary says, "By the time I was a teenager, I was slogging through each day carrying a massive amount of grief. Then my dad dropped in front of me of a heart attack. He was a single father and my one functional parent. When this lightning bolt struck, I thought my life was over."
Then Gary picked up a pen and started writing. The next day, he wrote some more.
"I found myself emoting as I wrote. Sadness, confusion, anger, fear, anxiety, and guilt spewed out of me, one word at a time. I felt lousy, but expressing what was inside me felt good and relieving."
Unfortunately, the losses just kept coming. And Gary kept writing.
Now, almost a half-century and 20 books later, Gary gives us a gift - a unique grief workbook born of his extensive personal and professional experience of using writing as a tool to recover from the losses of life.
Whether you're an avid journal writer or have never used writing to process difficult events, you'll find the Grieving the Write Way Journal and Workbook a heartfelt, compassionate, and practical resource for your grief journey.

"I read Grieving the Write Way 20 months after the loss of my wife of50 years. Grief is a lonely and traumatic experience that rears its uglyhead without warning at the most unexpected times. This book, withstories and quotes from other grief-stricken individuals, tells you thatyou are not alone on this journey, and gives you hope that somehowyou will survive this ordeal, and that there will be a future. In hiscaring, thoughtful, and affable way, Gary draws you in to the writingexercises in the journal portions of the book. Writing about my griefis something I had never considered, but it is so helpful and thoughtprovoking to actually get your feelings down on paper. I know thisbook will be a constant companion and resource for me as I, over time, reengage in the writing exercises and measure my progress."- Dennis Baer, bereaved spouse andsurvivor of multiple close losses

"I find it hard to process grief, as when I'm in the thick of it, the waves of grief seem to drown everything out. In Grieving the Write Way, I especially found the writing prompts Gary provides to be an incredibly helpful means of beginning to process grief when I didn't know how to articulate it. I highly recommend for anyone who feels like they need help to process any kind of grief." - Stephanie Stevenson, fellow griever and MK (Missionary Kids) Advisor, WEC Canada

I searched everywhere for grief support, books and journals and best I got was so generic and limited I ended up just writing in plain notebook but having discovered Gary's amazing work just a few months ago I was so excited this was about to be released and it had well surpassed expectations!!
There is not one part of the devastating affect grief has on every part of your being that Gary hasn't covered so for each there are questions and prompts, help to explore poetry and in particular I love the letter writing prompts as I've only even saw write to loved one before but the idea of writing (not sending) to the living who have for example let us down is amazing and this isn't just prompted journal, it does not leave you confused or feeling worse as Gary writes in each section words of guidance and encouragement around each topic and it is so short to pick one and chose what way to work through depending where your grief is.
I'd have been lost without journals since my partner recently passed away however I couldn't quite find one that helped until now.........amazing supported guided journal which even if you haven't thought of before at least download free kindle sample and you will soon see why you need to buy this book. It can be difficult but is also very healing and my only problem now is where to start!!!!
Thanks again to Gary Roe, he just totally gets it and meets you wherever you are in your grief, for whoever you have lost and whatever your faith.
Even for someone who has always journalled this is outstanding so for anyone thinking about it, don't, just go for it as no need to follow exactly, take what may help you and you will surprise yourself how healing this can be.
Sorry to all other authors or publishers of "grief journals" this is well above their league.

My favourite aspect of GTWW is the fact that Roe has taken the time to examine the impact loss might have on an individual’s spiritual outlook. This sets GTWW apart from other grief journals, where the focus is often solely limited to the emotional impact.
Grieving The Write Way is an indispensable practical, supportive aid in coming to terms with loss.
