I’ve been using an awesome hand mixer from the ‘60’s and it finally gave up the 👻. I like this model because it’s sturdy, has a retractable cord and can be placed on its base without the beaters touching the counter. So few are designed this way. Can’t beat the price!

I can not review on longevity since I have not had this long enough. This is the most quiet hand mixer I have ever had in my 50 years or so of cooking. I purchased this to use when my stand mixer is just too big for the job. I find this Elechomes mixer bulky to use and store because of the retracting cord feature...however I like that feature. CON: The mixer does not stand on end well (rocks) when setting it on the counter while adding ingredients etc to the bowl being used to mix. CON: The paddles are not long enough to fit down into a deeper bowl...such as a big 8 cup measuring cup that I often use for batters. Having to use a more shallow bowl causes splatters. PROS: I find the slow speed is a true slow speed that is perfect when not wanting to over mix. High speed is also a true speed. The turbo button does help when you do not want to change speeds for just a few seconds. It handles a heavy cookie batter without problem, delicately incorporates ingredients when making cakes or cheesecakes. Whips cream nicely. Con: I feel the regular paddles could use one more wire in them verses the 4 it has...for a more complete incorporation of ingredients without over mixing. Pro: price was right.
